We booked our stay at Il Bargello almost a year in advance of our trip. Its proximity to the important sites that we wanted to visit in Florence was a major factor, and the price was reasonable. The 77 steps up to and down from the B & B from the street were a challenge, but we were well aware of it in advance and planned accordingly. I had undergone unexpected knee replacement surgery, 5 months prior to our trip, but I got through the physical challenge of the stairs. Our room was comfortable and we met a number of other friendly travelers during our 4 night stay. Gabriella was incredibly helpful in recommending places for dinner and also made the reservations for us. We had a wonderful stay - thank you!!

Ideal location, a 3 minute walk from the Duomo and 20 minute walk from the train station. You must climb 77 steps to the top floor, providing nice views of the surrounding area. Self-service breakfast includes all the necessities. Spacious room (Giotto) with large en-suite and private deck. Wi-fi provided.

We felt right at home here, a perfect stay for a couple traveling (who got engaged in Florence this trip!!!) Gabriella was very friendly and chatted with us during breakfast. The breakfast is great and the rooftop is very nice to have. Be aware of the 80 steps to the top. We loved this place and will come back!

Loved my stay here - so comfortable and AMAZING breakfast! The terrace on the rooftop is also really quaint and has nice views of Firenze. Everything was so accessible and easy! Staff were there during the day from 8:30-2:00ish to assist with anything. Will definitely return!

The staff are what make this place a gem. We arrived a day late due to travel delays and had lost our luggage. The staff offered many resources for buying clothes, finding delicious meals, and even volunteered to make calls on our behalf to locate our luggage (eventually found!). The location is great and the whole place is very clean.
