The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. This newly renowed hotel oozed charm and Nouveau/Deco sophistication. The location is central to all forms of transport, plenty of restaurants, bars; wonderful shops nearby, and only a few blocks to the promenade. I would stay here again.

I had the most relaxing and beautiful stay at the newly renovated Gounod Hotel. The staff were so welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The room was perfect: quiet, very clean with attention to detail. The bed was so comfortable and my room had a modern bathroom with shower and bath. The fridge and safe were an added plus. Ideal location just blocks from both the promenade and main train station. Very walkable neighborhood with Lime and Pony share bikes less than a block away to take advantage of the many bike lanes in this section of Nice. Rooms are in excellent condition and the staff is very helpful. Choice of tourist-friendly or authentic neighborhood restaurants within minutes.
