Great location, walking distance to everything. Very good breakfast buffet. Rooms are nice but we had issues with our bathtub. Our room could have used a little love considering it's a 5 star hotel. Jacuzzi and sauna room could use some love as well. The overall look of the interior is dark. Considering the low ceilings, it does not help. The entrance of the hotel is through the mall and the parking is good to have but prepare to go through a maze to get to the front desk. Just follow the signs and you should be ok. Rooftop bar, pool and patio are very nice. Very good views.

Finding the entry to the hotel was a bit of a challenge but one we were there we enjoyed our stay. Good breakfast buffet. Great location in the city, close to parks, quaint streets & restaurants. Helpful, friendly staff, except for the pool bar service was slow, not friendly.

Absolute fantastic property right downtown Funchal, complimentary parking for guests and the room was large impeccably clean and beautiful. This property allows you to walk out the door to a myriad of restaurants and stores. Diana at reception was incredibly helpful. If you need Laundry there’s The Laundry Room is the place to go walking distance they provide detergent and are great. The roof top bar and pools are stunning with city views and an abundant menu. I cannot recommend enough.

This hotel is excellent!! Brilliant location, super helpful and lovely staff. Breakfast was great. Pool/spa and treatments - all amazing!! Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent. I can not recommend this place enough and I will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful dinner and breakfast with amazing choice. Room decor not to our taste, a bit dark generally and we had to keep curtains closed to keep room cool, despite blinds, but otherwise spacious, well equipped and clean. Very comfortable beds. Staff mostly very helpful. Spa might need a refresh? Lovely rooftop terrace and bar with great views. 20 minutes mostly level walk to the old town and cable car. For us, this hotel had a city break vibe rather than resort, with little greenery but there is a lovely park very nearby. Unusual setting above a shopping mall but we found this useful on a few occasions. Good base to explore Funchal. Would definitely return.
