Good nice clean, the building had cute architecture and good pub underneath. The shared bathrooms were pretty average but fair enough for the price

Greg, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Boutique with good alcohol option. Accommodation was true pub style just needs a bit more lighting on door key pads.
Malcolm, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very clean for an old hotel. Staff friendly. Suited our needs. Windows in need of a repair.
Helen, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The bed was fresh and comfortable but I totally expected there to be a towel.
Sharyn, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Check-in was good. We were allowed early check-in. The room was ok but the toilet was not well cleaned in all 3 days of our stay. Too loud music from the pub below.
Tarun, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Room was covered in bugs and cockroaches. Stains everywhere from where they have been previously squashed.
Dan, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Some smell at the toilet, it should be more clean.
Miki, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Overpriced for what is was - it was not obvious when booking that bathroom and toilet facilities were shared. bedside lamp was broken and lying on floor. However the beds were comfy and clean and it was a convenient location for our night out. Would not stay there again at that price and it was too noisy (until 12 when music stopped) but this was expected being a pub.

2/10 Poor

Kitchen was dirty, smelly, fridges were not clean. No mugs & cutlery. Shower head kept spraying, had to use the other shower. No shampoo, & body wash only conditioner & it did not get replenished. You need to take more care of your visitors, very unhygienic & not healthy especially for kids.

A terrible experience in The Young Street hotel
The lock was out-of-order on the second day, they forgot to send an email to me for the check-in instruction There is no windscreen which has many insects in our room The air-conditioner is dirty The light-sensor is terrible

Upon arrival, the room has unpleasant smell, opened the windows for a while and smell still the same. We got 2 beds and 3 pillow cases were obviously not changed, it has smell too. One top sheet not changed too. Did not sleep there.
Laura, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

My room was furry when I first entered the room. Full of debriefs on the floor. Full carpeted and not cleaned enough. My rhinitis was triggered by it. The air con remote control has no battery. Air con didn't had option to set the temperature to 25 degrees. Cold room.

Omg that was unexpected
Maybe because of the public holidays over Christmas but the state of cleanliness was terrible- room was nice , beds comfortable but table surfaces greasy and sticky obviously uncleaned for many stays, Information handouts grimy the carpets un vacuumed for probably ages. Bathrooms were not used (family of 4 all skipped a shower) as they were swamp like in cleanliness- muddy in the males and sandy in the female. Toilet was not too bad but still dirty around floors and windows. Common areas like kitchen and laundry area was a bit like the show The Young Ones house. Gees I really should get a refund. Good points - I only had to stay one night. Do I normally write bad reviews? No first one in probably 50 or 60 stays through Hotels.com all around the world.

2/10 Poor

The bathrooms where filthy, specailly the showers look liked they hadnt been cleaned in days. The bedrooms had stains on the wall specially in our room 2 look like someone wipe poo on the wall. Blanket didnt have a cover on it a sheet was used to cover over the quilt. Tv control has no batteries or cover on the controll didnt know how to use the tv. No control for the air-conditioner had to stick something tiny in a hole for the on and off button to turn it on. Doors were being slammed all night long keeping us up. Bed was tiny, i get you cant help with the bed as im really tall i found it had to sleep in as my feet hung off the end.
