Dishonest
Voici ma critique de Pepper House,
Extérieur
Pas d’éclairage dans le parking la nuit.
Dangereux quand on rentre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the room was quite beautiful and comfortable and the Innkeeper is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the whole area and we especially enjoyed the great breakfast's she cooked for us. We will come back here again on our next trip to this area!

The Pepper House Inn is located in a very nice area and is more affordable than the other places in Brewster. I had a room on the first floor with a comfortable bed and own bathroom. Debbie is very nice and prepares a good breakfast every morning. She is very knowledgeable about the Cape Cod area. I had some nice conversations with the other friendly guests as Debbie provided refills of coffee.

A stay at The Pepper House offers the unique opportunity to experience an historic inn with authentic features and complimentary furnishings.
Our room was clean and functional.
Our Hostess made us feel welcome and provided helpful knowledge about the Brewster community. Her breakfasts were tasty.
Great value by Cape Cod standards.

The Inn Keeper was NOT on site, a note was left on the door....We were the only guests, so we NEVER even saw the Inn Keeper.
The room smelled musty...the smell never dissipated.
The entire place was very cluttered....
We were VERY disappointed as we paid top dollar for our stay at this Inn

Very poor condition of the entry screen door and porch. Outside shrubbery/trees are quite overgrown and need some TLC. Room was somewhat musty and dark with very small old tube TV set. Bathroom adequate with very small shower. A/C was loud window unit but did keep room cool. Innkeeper was very friendly. Breakfast omelette was very tasty. There is potential for a beautiful place if updated, but sadly it has not been well maintained.

Property was dirty, unkept, musty. Room was disgusting and dirty. We had to stay one night but left the next day even though we paid for two days. Never met any manager. When we arrived there was a note on the door to come in and our key was in the lock at our room. I can't believe the Brewster Board of Health allows this Inn to operate in it's condition.

Total House Of Horrors.
When we pulled up to the Inn the house and grounds were in terrible condition. Upon entering the house via the side porch it also was in terrible condition. The screen door was broken, the floor was filthy with old leaves and dirty empty flowers pots. The only cushioned chair was old and dirty and the rest of the metal chairs were all rusty. When I checked of the other porch off of the living room it was in the same condition.
There was no one there to immediately greet us and after calling out a few times we got a response from someone upstairs say that they would be there in a minute which turned out to be several minutes. When she finally did come down she walk right by us say she needed a minute and walked into the kitchen. While she was in there she blew her nose a couple of times before coming out. Not the most pleasant greeting. She then came out and sat in a chair and went on to tell us that going up and down the stairs was a little to much for her. She then handed us a hand written note on a plan piece of paper say that it would explain everything in regards to our stay and then asked if we had any questions.
On our way to our room I found the rest of the house to be in kind of disarray and dusting and on kept. Upon entering our room it was kind of dark and dingy and smelled a little musty. After looking around the room I noticed that there were several air freshener tucked in corners along with the canister that absorbed moisture. The window AC unit was load and

This photo of the front of the Inn is deceiving. The landscaping is overgrown and needs maintenance.
There was a very musty odor in our room which was of concern to me since my husband has mold/mildew allergies.

The musty smell was awful . The owner has the potential for a beautiful place but when you walk in to a musty smell that knocks you over it is unacceptable . The room was liveable but again when you wake up to fire alarms going off and having to call the fire department when you can’t get the owner on the phone again is unacceptable !!! We left at 4AM after calling the fire department at 2:30Am on our Sunday morning departure day . I feel some type of payment should be given back especially since the night before one room alarm was chirping so my friends in the other room had two nights of interrupted sleep !
