Place was right down in the middle of the action on the corner of Canal St. and Bourbon. Kids outside playing buckets as drums until 1:00 AM sounded like they were right outside the widows of our 9th floor room. Room ventilation smelled like mildew and they were booked up so they could not move us. Room was clean and staff was great. Valet Parking took almost 1.5 hours to get the car dropped off so we could check in in the evening. In the morning it was only a 5-10 minute wait which was perfectly understanding.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and facilities were always clean. The room we were given was very large, plenty of space and amenities were provided daily or on request. The pool was quite small and always busy so I didn't get a chance to use it. The only issue I had was that the beds were ery high off of the ground, I had to jump up onto ot every night. It was also very soft, it felt like a mattress topper had been added on top of ours and folded into/with the sheets - I asked reception if it could be removed, they said they'd send someone to check but I never saw anyone nor had anyone follow up with me about this. But if you like soft mattresses, it won't be a problem for you. Everything else was perfect. Great location. Not too much street noise (some, as we faced onto Canal/Bourbon St, but tolerable).

Great location, clean rooms, appropriately priced. Very nice staff. Only complaint is their parking scam, you pay $50 for overnight parking, not 24 hours parking. So they charge you another $20 if you stay after 2pm. Other than that, the hotel was great and will definitely return!

The property was awesome and had the best location. 2 things that I didn't like were, the lights went off my second night there and didn't come back on until we were checking out. I was not offered to be compensated for anything. The other thing was, I paid the bell hop to put my bags in the car and he left them on the curb for us to do it ourselves.
