The public areas (eg, driveway, lobby, lifts) and rooms were always clean and tidy. The staff were beyond helpful, both at the front desk, the concierge, and housekeeping. The buffet breakfast was terrific. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated, but the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The Convera Riverfront is a very good hotel located a 10 minute Grab ride from central Chiang Mai, Comvers staff and service are excellent, The Hotel pool is very nice, and not often busy. The gym is well equipped and also not busy. Breakfast has much variety and is of good quality. Rooms are large and pleasant, but not quite to the exceptional level of newer hotels in the Convera chain.

The Centara Riverside provides good value for money, excellent service and very good facilities including a great outdoor pool. The hotel is a 10-15 minute Grab ride from the action at the centre of Chiang Mai. But our tours, one out of town and the other Mama Noi cooking class provided transportation from the Hotel.
This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Centara Riverside and our 3rd stay at a hotel in the Centara chain. So, yes, we recommend it highly.

The room (or suite) was nice except for one thing. The A/C was on and the temperature in the room was very cold when we arrived. We tried to turn it off but couldn’t find the thermostat. We cold the reception and they sent someone to our room to check it out. They found the thermostat hidden behind a curtain (great location!), and adjusted it. But to no avail. Apparently the rooms have no heaters, just A/C’s. By the end of our second day the room temperature had increased by itself to a somewhat comfortable level. Maybe there is an opportunity for improvement here. Another opportunity for improvement would be to have more parking spaces available. It gets crowded there very fast.
