Can’t speak more highly of the level of customer service provided by the manager on duty when we arrived during the middle of the night due to an incident at another hotel. They went above and beyond our expectations and we truly appreciate the kindness shown. They were not obligated in any way but provided excellent service. The location is also fantastic and we will definitely be returning here. Highly recommend.

I’ve stayed at many hotels across Italy and spent good money on this one because of the rating. Dirty with extremely uncomfortable mattresses. My VIP was a beautiful bottle of wine with two disgustingly dirty wine glasses. Location is 10/10 but the hotel my sister stayed at down the street was clean and much better and cheaper.

Hotel Roma is located in a really good spot of Florence if you don't plan on staying in the city very long. I was right next to a lot of public transportation, attractions, and everything was within walking distance. The desk staff was really good, the ladies helped my wife and I find a place to dine for the night as well as make reservations for us. All of the recommendations were great and really made our trip better. However, the beds were relatively hard, and uncomfortable, there was no air conditioning for the most part or the air circulation was poor. We had to open the windows up at night to let some cool air in, we were traveling in April so not really during the hotter months. We also could hear a lot of the noise coming from the streets. Overall, the experience at Hotel Roma was good and the only thing that really prevented me from giving this place a better review were the two hard beds.

Stayed for one night and was fine for what it was. Location was perfect, 2 minute walk from the train station and 5 minutes from the Duomo. A few things that weren’t as great however, the room was really hot and aircon didn’t work or just blew out hot air loudly. If you’re unlucky enough, like us, to have an inward facing room the window opens out onto a dirty smelly courtyard. And also despite the breakfast being free, there wasn’t a great amount of choice, especially for vegetarian diets. Great for a night but wouldn’t stay for any longer

Charming hotel, but what's more important is the Hotel Staff, incredibly professional, caring, accommodating, and helpful. I love the old boutique feel to it; to open the door, you need a key, which was great. It's located near all the attractions within a 10-15 minute walk. The Breakfast was incredible, I will be dreaming about the various croissant varieties, the coffee machine the hotel provided made amazing cappuccino and expresso. There's different thin slices of meat, cereal, fruits, pies, eggs and sausage - for Americans :). Different kinds of juices. Everything you need to start your day. The room was clean, AC is strong, had to turn it down as it was too cold, the dark out blinds was great to block out the city lights and the morning sun. When we walk in and saw a bottle of wine and there were beer, soda and water in the refrigerator we thought we had to pay for them, turns out it was included. We were pleasantly surprised. We were with other families and they too loved everything about this Hotel. Looking forward to going back to Florence and staying at Hotel Roma

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Before arriving, I sent multiple emails with questions which were answered promptly. The room was spacious for a European hotel, and the bathroom was modern. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety, and the food was delicious. The only complaint we had was that the beds were too firm, and the pillows were flat.
