Great Little Find!
This Hotel was such a nice surprise. It may be a little bit outdated with the furnishings, but the bed was very comfortable, the room was very quiet and the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. If I ever get back to Chicago, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Great area of the city to stay in too.

The hotel was extemely comfortable. Bed was amazing, loved that netflix was available. Free coffee 6-10am. The front desk completely accommodated our requests. Only thing to consider is there were several sirens from outside traffic over the weekend.

This hotel is in a great location walking distance to shops, restaurants and main attractions. The area around the hotel was very clean and felt very safe. The staff were very helpful. Our room was big, the bed was very comfortable and the room had everything you needed. The hotel has character and an interesting history.

On what planet is this a 4-star hotel?? The elevator NOT clean, the halls were dark and dingy, and, worst of all the room. UGH. In the time of Covid, you'd expect cleanliness as a priority - we had dirty mint wrappers and an old exhibitors badge from a previous person on the floor which had not been vacuumed. Finger prints all over the cabinet...just gross. I put my socks back on when I went to the bathroom at night! I was going to say something to the front desk but the woman at reception was just plain angry - my complaint would have gone nowhere. Yes, this property is in a fantastic place...walk an extra few blocks and stay someplace else.

Location Does Not Mean Everything
The room wasn't totally clean. There were toenail clippings, hair and hair pins in the room. Toilet paper roll and the wall attachment was not secure and was about to fall off onto the floor. Needless to say, we had to be very careful when using the restroom. There was mildew in the corner of the shower on the floating shelf. I do believe that the state of the US has an impact on the friendliness and courtesy of the staff and front desk. For the price of the stay, it was not worth it.
