The Godolphin in Marion exceeded our expectations. our lodging was roomy, well-appointed, and very clean. Views to the bay and Mount St. Micheal's were stunning from both the room and especially the balcony. Breakfast options for light and full appetites were appreciated. The dining room was wonderful. Light and airy with a glass wall overlooking the water and the Mount. The dinner menu offered a variety of options for all tastes. A particular shout-out to the wait staff for their attentiveness and service! the hotel is well-situated on the waterfront in the town center and allows for easy access to the Coastal Path, Mount Saint Micheal, and beautiful sand beaches. Public transportation (bus service) is good, with a stop at the front door of the hotel. it is in easy/short driving distance of Penzance and other coastal communities, historic sites, and natural areas. We highly recommend a stay here.

8/10 Very good

A bit disappointed with the menu compared to last year. The small plates on offer were too small and the large plates too big. I thought food was well cooked but by a different chef.

Room could use a new mattress but the view and staff made up for it. We stayed just to visit St. Michael’s mount. We had a stunning view of the mount and sea. Ate dinner and breakfast on site, walked on the beach, and the hotel allows you to park until 14:00. I would definitely come back!

When you arrive, you meet a welcoming staff, very helpful and friendly! They went out of their way to help with reservations for restaurant, champagne jolder with glasses & ice. The room was perfect, nice sitting area to gaze out at StMicheal’s Mount. We were in the Micheal’s room. Bed was comfortable, quiet room. The only thing I would mention is there is no air conditioning or ventilation. If you have windows open for breeze, can be very humid but otherwise, was excellent!! Would recommend

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The view from our room was amazing. The restaurant menu was small but food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The Cornish breakfast set us up for the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be booking again.

This hotel is a showstopper. We had a room overlooking the castle island and could hear the waves crash at night. The staff, the breakfast and all of the amenities were 5 stars all the way. We absolutely loved staying here.

We had the best 3 night stay at the Godolphin. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly with so much personality. One of the staff members -Lisa, was exceptional and made us feel special. I've never been to a hotel where every member of staff made it their priority to make you feel so welcome and looked after. Thank you for such a lovely time.

Room with a view
Location was lovely , views of st Michaels mount, beach front with parking right next to the hotel very convenient. We had the Penzer point family room , which had low ceilings in both rooms. Had I known this , I wouldn’t have booked this as all of my family are very tall. The amount of times my children bumped their heads were too many. The main bathroom had some drainage problem and the shower would overflow , made the housekeeping staff aware after the first night and they assured me they would get a plumber to look into this and this did not happen as we had the same problem the second night. The breakfast was included in our stay, and my son ordered the buttermilk pancakes and we were assure by the chef directly that the dish did not include eggs , half way through eating them , the manager came and advised there were eggs on the pancakes, my son stopped eating them. The manager apologised to us however as the breakfast was included in our stay , informed us that she could not do anything for us. 😳 Staff were friendly. Nice location Room with a view

It was our first time in Cornwall and we booked the Godolphin to stay in and we was not disappointed. The Hotel, the staff, the restaurant, the service, the room, everything was a 10/10 and we couldn’t be happier. The manager and the reception staff were also very friendly and helpful. I will definitely will be booking this hotel again for when ever me and my family come back to Cornwall as it’s literally perfect.

Fantastic stay
We had a fantastic stay at the Godolphin. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The parking was easy to access, but there is a small fee. The views from this hotel are absolutely amazing! We spent 2 weeks visiting Brittain, and the 3 nights we spent here were the best of our entire trip.

Staying at The Godolphin
Staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We had to catch the Scillonian III to the Isles of Scilly and it wasn't any trouble to sort out prepacked breakfasts for our journey, early in the morning. Room was spacious and comfortable complete with little touches such as coffee machine and little welcoming Brownies. Restaurant was bright and airy with dramatic views of St Michaels Mount. A fabulous stay. Keep up the great work.

6/10 Good

Inconsistent performance
Splendid position opposite St Michael's Mount. Excellent room with modern bathroom and good private terrace. Welcoming staff in the hotel but it is badly let down by an outsourced restaurant (Shutters) with poorly cooked food (tasteless onion soup and cardboard tasting burger) and limited choice, which meant that we only ate there once and went out for other evening meals. Inconsistent service from the restaurant staff, possibly a training challenge with seasonal employees - though our visit was in July. This was partly redeemed by good breakfasts.
