This hotel has a lovely old fashioned atmosphere and is a prominent building in Wantage town centre. We dined in and found it very good, as was the breakfast. I recommend having your breakfast by the window - the breakfast room is on the first floor and you can enjoy people watching as the people of Wantage go to work and school. The staff were uniformly excellent. The one single suggestion that I would have for improvement is that blackout curtains be put into the rooms, since my room (no 1) was directly above an area that was lit all night.
