Staff were great. The street at night is very loud and busy. Could use some updating but a charming historic building

The check-in clerk was snotty, the bed pillows were small square throw pillows not standard pillow size and the daily parking charge was hidden at the bottom of the amenities page in small print NOT upfront on the advertisement page. Our room had wrappers left from previous guests and the bathroom had what looked to be pubic hair left behind. Great location but will never stay here again when in San Antonio.

Not nearly as pretty as the pictures make it seem... Not on the Riverwalk either... The rooms are teeny tiny but the bathroom was huge... Parking was not included it was $36 extra and didn't seem very secure

It was a great place to stay for my conference which was held at St. Anthony's. The River Walk is a short walk away. My only complaint is the heavily perfumed hallway on the 2nd floor, it was unbearable even during the short wait for the elevator. I assume it's covering up something more heinous, but still.

Tower of Terror
We arrived after dark and our Uber driver dropped us off around the corner since the street was blocked off in front of the hotel. The hotel was pretty dark when we walked in with flickering lights and the lobby was empty and no one was at the front desk. The first thing my son said was that it looked like the Tower of Terror--the old Disneyland ride. We waited 5 or so minutes for the clerk to come back before getting checked in. It's an old hotel (which I love) but had been updated with cheap furnishings which hadn't held up well. Our room was not that clean (splatters on the wall and mirrors) and the bed was not comfortable. I did regret choosing it to save a few dollars. It would maybe be fine for one night. Hot breakfast to order was included at the Indian restaurant attached to the hotel and it was fine.

Room was just average. There’s no mention of having to pay for parking although it is “available”. You’re close to downtown so lots of noise from local venues and locals. Most likely won’t stay here again just because it was average. Maybe in a pinch
