Decent hotel in good location
My sister and I came to see the northern lights and we each had separate rooms next to each other. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. They are well equipped with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, plates, silverware- and the rooms are very large. No complaints about the room. The maid service was poor. They completely skipped my room and my sister’s room for daily cleaning, even though we had signs on the door to please make up a room. They did not replenish an empty Kleenex box when it was empty, nor did they replenish toilet paper, when it should have been. We had to call the desk for these complaints. The desk did send the cleaning crew up to the room, but it should’ve been done without us having to call. Our only other dissatisfaction was the restaurant. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. we would often come back late in the afternoon and want something to eat but there was no restaurant service available. Breakfast was not complementary with the room and the charge for breakfast was more expensive than the value of the breakfast served. They had a menu with several choices on it, but only had three selections available. Overall, the food was not impressive. However, it was a nice hotel, and a good location, quite clean, and pleasant front desk service. There is an airport shuttle that runs on time every day, which was a nice feature. We were not disappointed. We stayed there, but there are things that could be improved

Chateau Nova
It was a nice hotel. The staff were very friendly. The only thing that I found disappointing is that the shuttle did not run on holidays.

What we come to expect from Nova
Beautiful newer property in Yellowknife has all the amenities of a big City hotel. YK is a winter City and this property embraces this simple fact. Rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable.

Great hotel but worst restaurant we ever had
The hotel is great. But the restaurant is the worst we have ever experienced. Every dish is terrible. Not only taste is bad, some dish severed cold. We have to wait for almost an hour to get the food.

Very Comfortable Bed
We went on an anniversary trip and stayed in Yellowknife for a week at the end of November. We had a blast! This hotel is within walking distance of the majority of downtown, unless you're not a fan of walking. While we were staying here, there was a convention most of the week. This brought the foot traffic within the hotel up significantly. It's already a busy place at certain times of the day from tour shuttles. This was a little off-putting as it caused us to feel like all of our comings and goings were on display with this very large group of people who were not there for tourist things like the rest of us. The main thing I enjoyed about the hotel was the bed. It's very difficult for me to find a hotel bed that is comfortable. I have back and joint issues that make it hard to sleep in the majority of hotel beds. I was impressed. While there were a couple of things that I felt could have been better, they wouldn't keep me from staying again. I felt safe and comfortable.
