First time staying at a McMenamins Hotel! Absolutely loved it. We are passport holders and enjoyed our one night stay here for Labor day. Had a great time checking out the bars, artwork, & soaking pool. Our room was so cute, on the 3rd floor and the robes were a plus. All of the staff we encountered were very kind and welcoming. Just wished that our stay could go towards the Loyalty Program. We will be back!

The idea is neat but our room was dingy and was malodorous. Staff was sparse and food even more so. Shared bathrooms are inconvenient.

My partner and I are big fans of Mcmennamins and were excited for The Grand Lodge. The majority of our stay was exactly what you expect; decent food, great drinks, and people who seem to love their jobs. The only hiccup that did sour our trip was on our last night we had been making our rounds to the bars that were open, everyone was great as usual until we got to The Doctor’s Office. The bartender there had something against our presence despite the fact we were his only customers. I could hash it all out on here but that wouldn’t be fair to all the other great employees who we encountered. Hopefully whatever was going on in that guy’s life was a one off. We had an all around good time. The room was clean and comfortable (our ac wasn’t working but the staff was very apologetic and accommodating for the inconvenience). And of course we got the fun and mystery of staying a Mcmennamins.
