Diabolical with a capital D and then some!!!
Disaster from start to finish! Plumbing was diabolical. The noise of pipes, the vibrations shaking the whole hotel was unreal. My parents did not get any sleep for two nights and all the staff could say was sorry but carry out no work to resolve the extreme loud noise. The cleanliness was poor. Th breakfast was not very good whatsoever and once they ran out of items they had nothing to replenish. Oh I could go on but why bother.

Worst night ever.
Unfortunately the worst night we have ever had in a hotel. The plumbing in our room was resonating all night. Sounded like a kango hammer. Greeted on arrival by kitchen staff who appeared to be doing various jobs. Not at all helpful. We tried to speak to the duty manager before we checked out but we're politely informed that there wasn't one and that our concerns would be passed on. We were told that the duty manager would ring us on Monday the next day. Guess what no call. So I am left with this posting. Perhaps we were unlucky but a call would have been nice. I did make a 14 second recording of the horrible noise but this site doesn't seem to be able to take anything but photos..

Very disappointed, I was in an annex room, which was cold, needed thicker curtains. Breakfast was extremely poor, only hot food left was 3 sausages, 1 egg and about a spoonful of beans. Soup bowls for the cereals, only 1 toaster. Only 1 member of staff to clear tables, replenish hot food it was totally unacceptable. Other members of my family that stayed that night also had complaints. My son in law and wife hardly slept, were disgusted by the breakfast and left. The room rates are too low, £53 for a double room including breakfast for 2 people is rediculously low. There needs to be more staff to have breakfast running smoothly. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay again and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

1 night business stay!
1 night business stay. Plenty of parking, friendly check-in, clean room. We booked a twin room and the bed was tiny. Evening restaurant was not open but other places to eat were only a short walk away. Cooked breakfast was ok. Will stay there again!

Dissatisfied
The twin room we stayed in was ok. The beds were a little worn and one of the covers on the bed had a stain on it that looked like blood. Only a small amount, but nonetheless visible. Breakfast was a total letdown. We were told breakfast was from 8-10am. We arrived at 9.15am to find there was hardly any of the cooked breakfast left. We had to clear a table ourselves to sit down. Another guest asked for some fresh breakfast to be put out and this took over half an hour to arrive. It came in dribs and drabs so people weren’t able to put their food on their plates as a complete breakfast. There was hardly any bread for toast and no butter. The breakfast (when it finally all arrived!) was very basic sausage, bacon, fried egg and beans. The tables were not given a wipe between customers. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

Comfortable bed and cleanliness of room was fine. Hotel looked tired and needed sprucing up. Breakfast was poor - low level chairs and tables to eat off. Dirty plates not cleared away. Poor choice of cereal and canisters nearly empty . No sausage, bacon, egg, tomatoes or mushrooms; the only hot food in the serving trays were beans and hash browns. Had to ask for the trays to be replenished and for clean plates to be brought out and had to wait 10 minutes for this and the only member of staff on duty that we saw only brought out bacon during this time. Could understand if this was at the end of breakfast, but this 30 minutes into the service.

Given a room that smelt of smoke and wallpaper had come off the ceiling with bits still hanging off the ceiling. We were given a change of room. Shortage of food and crockery at breakfast

The most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on and breakfast was pathetic. This hotel feels like it is closing down, I feel sorry for the staff that have to work there.

Hotel is very unkempt in areas. Poor experience from the beginning as signage and lighting outside very poor. Garden untidy and overgrown. Not We had an executive room which had no hot water, one reading lamp or very bright spot lights, tv only had bbc 1 even when I returned it only got other bbc channels. Room clean but public areas very dirty and scruffy. Very sad as could be a nice hotel with the right management.
