older hotel in need of cleaning and update
The Greentree is older hotel in need of better cleaning, updating and room redesign. Our room #105 wasn't clean and had an odd layout to try and fit 2 double beds, a kitchenette, small table and 2 chairs. the small tv was mounted low and on the side of one of the beds... not really visible from the bed furthest away. bathroom had cracked tiles and bottom of door was peeling/deteriorating, dirt on the carpet, very low child height toilet. plus side: it had a large refrigerator. Hallways had stained carpeting, odd breakfast room with long dining hall type table, very small lobby area. Understand that "extended stay" type of hotels tend to cut back on their common areas.. but this just didn't feel right.. not worth it despite being one the cheapest hotels available in the Eagle area.. will pay more and stay elsewhere next time.

Puppy Love Delay
No frills basic efficeny kitchette room. We chose this location because the Vail Pass on I-70 east was closed and this was the closes room under $200 we could find on such short notice via hotel.com. The room was clean. The view out the window was a hillside 8 feet from the window. The main problem we had was check in. ZERO Stars! We arrived with pre-paid reservation. We waited 20 minutes for the female desk clerk to get off the phone with her par​amour. She was just inside the office on the right side of the front desk. She was "cooing" & giggling over the phone. We could see her just inside the office door. After 10 minutes we said HELLO loudly. She popped out and irritatingly said "Just a minute". 10 minutes later she came to the desk to check us in after she told whoever she was talking to on the phone "I gotta go, someone is here". Yeah, we had been waiting 20 minutes! There was NOT any type of continental breakfast in the morning nor any kind of coffee nor tea. There was a different girl at check out. When we arrived at the desk for checkout no one was there. We sat down and waited 10 minutes, maybe she had to use the facilities. Being from the east coast of the USA we will most likely not be back. Although if we were to be it would never be here.

It wasn't awful but it wasn't good. It was mostly clean. But found stains on the sheets. Mostly clean dishes in dishwasher. a broken knife - only a cheap blade that had spotted rust. bathroom was clean, the room was warm and comfortable. Was grateful for a place to stay, could have been worse.
