Pleasant hotel, clean and quiet. Comfortable beds. Excellent air conditioning. Roomkey system via mobile phone works like a charm. Located close to Central Station and city centre. Rather straightforward but fresh Continental breakfast (optional).

Lovely apartment but can be loud

The apartment is very nice, clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. The location is super convenient to sights of interest as well as to restaurants etc. but be warned that the master bedroom can be quite loud especially in the summer since there are many restaurants with sidewalk seating right downstairs. There are also weekly open air markets that start setting up very early and can be disruptive if you're trying to sleep in the master bedroom (though lovely to visit :))

10/10 Exceptional

Very functional, nicely decorated lobby & rooms with all the things you need for a comfortable stay! The big photo outside the window made the wall much more appealing & added a little extra special touch. Loved the coffee/ tea kettle in the room & how close it was to the market & city center. Would definitely come again!!

Wonderful stay in Leiden

We had a few days to fill in between meetings and selected Leiden and Hotel Rembrandt. Hotel was wonderful. Well located near lovely restaurants and bars. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was comfortable and quite large. Bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Judy for one night

I got there at 5.30 pm and was a little scared no receptionist, but the person over the phone was very helpful and opened the door remotely. Got into my room ok The bathroom and bed /pillow very comfy However l couldn't work out how to switch. Off the light that was all over the bed wall Very uncomfortable night No breakfast unless you book in advance but nice cafe near by

8/10 Very good

Great staff and great central location. Lots of activities to explore in Leiden, and easy to get to attractions in nearby cities. This is a very busy and fun area on the Kings Day holiday. It’s a fairly small town but being able to walk or bike around is essential, as public transportation is limited in the city centre. Yes, I would definitely recommend this place!! Thanks Mirelle and Jilly!!

8/10 Very good

Good location, and comfortable hotel, although the front desk is only there for limited hours, so they will send an email with the electric keys for the first day, which caused a bit anxiety first as i had some issues with the internet access right after get out of the plane, but anyhow was able to download the electric keys,

This is a nice hotel located near the center of Leiden and its Central Station. The reception staff was very kind and accommodating. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again if I were to return to Leiden.

Hotel Rembrandt is in a great location only a short walk from the train station. It is also very close to excellent museums including the Museum of Ethnology which is awesome. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there. Thank you!

8/10 Very good

Great room with a lot of space! Really comfortable close to center and the train station. Only problem was the noise, the hotel is near a lot of bars and we stayed during Euro so there was a lot of noise and screaming till 3AM.
Roxanne, 5-night trip

It was quite basic. Nothing fancy, but well-kept clean and quiet. Staff was most excellent and very helpful. I would recommend to anyone just wanting a place to sleep, and relax.

Nice location, comfortable room

Great location, close to the train station and in the old inner city. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom with horrible lighting. The lights bedside weren’t great either but it was a very nice room. The staff was great also.

Everything was great!!! I just couldn’t figure out the A/c so I was a bit cold during the night. Happily the bed covers saved me. I would highly recommend this property
Konstantinos, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

City Hotel Rembrandt offers a stay that is a study in contrasts, blending some commendable features with a few notable shortcomings. Out recent visit, while generally pleasant, highlighted areas where the hotel excels and others where it could significantly improve the guest experience. The most positive aspect of the stay was undoubtedly the room itself. The space was generous and well-laid out, providing ample room to relax and unpack. It was a comfortable base from which to explore the city, and the cleanliness was of a high standard. This sense of space is a significant advantage over many city centre hotels where rooms can often feel cramped and restrictive. The breakfast experience was also a highlight, albeit with a slight caveat. The food that was provided was fresh and delicious, showcasing a focus on quality over quantity. The selection, however, felt somewhat limited. While tasty, a slightly wider range of options would have been appreciated to cater to different tastes and dietary needs. The term "tasty but sparse" perfectly encapsulates the feeling—you enjoyed what was there, but you were left wanting a bit more. The main frustrations of the stay stemmed from operational and technical issues. Being on the third floor, the Wi-Fi signal was consistently weak and unreliable. In an age where guests rely on connectivity for everything from planning their day to staying in touch.
David Michael, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

Excellent location within walking distance from the station, yet not seedy like a "train station" neighbourhood. Windmill Museum and shops and restaurants and canals all right there. The hotel is dated but super clean. Wifi was crappy. Staff was friendly and present only in the mornings. Avoid room 108 - the largest - if you want privacy - it is big and bright, but literally they have set up picnic tables on the patio that can look directly into your room, into your bathroom, onto your bed, if your blinds aren't completely closed.
