The hotel room in the annex was clean and tidy. Umbrellas were provided and needed for the short walk to the main hotel. The shower over the bath was not high enough for me (1.85m tall). The food was excellent and so was the service. I would stay there again.

Generally a very nice stay. Lovely people. Nice evening meal, good room. Breakfast in the conservatory pleasant, but the waitress brought in the cooked breakfast before we had finished our cereal, so not as warm as it could have been. Once again brought in toast too soon. Coffee not particularly nice. A shame, but not desperately important, except that it could otherwise have been a perfect stay. Would stay again however, and recommend to other travellers.

In need of some Tender, loving care!
This hotel is next to a busy road. The staff are very nice. Restaurant was nicely decorated and food was good. What has let it down (in my opinion) is condition of some of the decor. Paint flaking off of windows. Paint around doors etc in poor condition. From a Health & Safety aspect. It would of been good to have anon-slip mat when having showers. The outside areas are in need of a good gardener. Outside looks unkept. Also it's the little things that were missing.

Good evening meal but that was it!
The photos and description do not represent the property as is today. The only good thing I ca say is the evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. We stayed in the annexe, the bed was comfortable and the linen was good but ther it ends. The decor is very tired and just looks plain dirty in places. Desperately in need of some TLC. Very little interaction with staff at breakfast, cooked breakfast though plentiful was not great with burnt sausage and only lukewarm. Seemed as if the kitchen was understaffed. For the price paid I was very disappointed!

Lovely location to stay and very comfortable room One of the reasons that we booked this was to take advantage of a laundry because we were travelling - found out though that the information on the booking site was out of date and no laundry services were available Lovely breakfast and in general the staff did their best to help The information in the hotel info booklet was a bit confusing and out of date

A very good “Bolt hole”
We were looking for a “bolt hole” as we visited family for a few days. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. We were there 3 nights and ate in for 2 of them which was again very nice. The only slight criticism was the shower/bath room was not up to par and the bedroom was on the small size. But on the whole, the family run hotel was very good and memorable, we would be happy to recommend.
