Booked a king and got a double but was not informed of the change until I went in the room and had to go back to the service desk. Book my car with valet upon arrival and had to wait about 30 mins for my car after being told 10 mins. Upon checkout I called for my car and was told I had to come to the valet desk. I got there asked for my car and had to end up waiting 42 mins this morning. Felt like the stay could have been way better if they just communicated properly

I want to be clear and fair here. My issue stems from the fact that hotels.com has different price points for the rooms that you select to stay in. I selected to stay in a room with a king size bed, I ended up in a double full size room. When asked the front desk they said that paying through a third party guarantees you a room but not a "Room Type" selections and that if I had any doubts I could refer to the receipt given to me by the 3rd party (Hotels.com). I kept the room, because what other option did I have? To be fair all but one of the concierges where very cordial. The first mentioned the "Room Type"situation and offered to cover breakfast or valet. I choose the valet, when I went to check out in the morning, the guy running the front desk gave me the same talk about my room type and said that he didn't know who I spoke to and that wasn't something they offered. When I went to reply to him, he immediately referred me to his manager who asked what my room number was and told me in two seconds that i was all set and that the gentlemen the night prior had already set it up. 1. If i would have been traveling by myself this wouldn't have bothered me. 2. I was with my wife on VALENTINES DAY which also happens to be her BIRTHDAY 3. I called earlier that day to make sure there were no issues with my stay. If you can't guarantee the room don't offer it or upcharge.
