I’ll start with a positive comment: the property location was great. Close to many of the major Boston sites. As for the negatives; this was my first stay at a no-human-staff ‘hotel.’ It was about 20% cheaper than a good quality traditional hotel in the same area so thought I would try it out. But I won’t do it again. My room was on the fourth floor, no elevator, which is a drag when you have luggage. The property was clean, but just looked tired. The mattress was unsupportive, and the tv remote didn’t work. While the exterior of the building looked quaint, I’ve stayed in chain motels on the outskirts of Omaha where the rooms had more charm. Bottom line, this will go down as a one time experience.

The location & cleanliness were great. The communication was terrible. They ignore calls. Daniel the concierge was the only helpful person. The others were rude and dismissive. It took two days before we got there to check in. The TV kept cutting in and out. There was no cable the whole time. The plug in the bathroom didn’t work. I was disappointed and would appreciate a slight refund in light of all the issues.

This is a good, clean, no-frills place to stay in a charming and interesting part of Boston. It's very convenient to many things such as the State House, Beacon Hill & Charles Street the Common, and MassGeneral. The check in was easy with codes sent. Only complaint is the shower. Nowhere to put stuff and the water didn't really get any hotter than warm.
