Will try a different hotel next
The Hotel Dann Carlton is conveniently located directly across the street from 3 of the best shopping malls in Barranquilla. It's a well-kept older property that makes Christmas shppiing easy. The rooms are clean and simple. The elevators and air-conditioning always function well. The beakefast, however, is crowded on the weekends with a large dining area but no place to sit until a table gets cleaned. The tables and placemets are cleaned with a common washcloth. The staff then places your utensils directly on the not-so-clean placement. The drink station is in front of where people line up for their food, making you having to cut the line to get to the drink station. And the breakfast eggs are too "wet" and lukewarm. The overall selection at breakfast is patially limited from the leftovers from the night before.
The limited selection of cheese always has a fly or two.
On my final free breakfast morning. The milk that was added to my coffee was brown. Perhaps the milk was accidently put an empty.
