Might be the only NYC hotel I stay at now
The location is in a great part of Brooklyn. Access to many MTA lines to get to Manhattan, Queens, as well as Brooklyn restaurants, bars, parks, museums. Staff were all friendly, attentive, and helpful with suggestions and services.

Best hotel in Brooklyn
We lived in Brooklyn for a long time but moved away a few years ago. We visit at least 2x per year and always stay at the Ace.

This fellow brooklynite HATES THIS HOTEL
Room was terribly smaller than advertised. Room like worn and lack freshness as if I’m staying at a friend’s out rather than staying at a hotel that I paid over $300 for. The AC unit barely work in terms of heat. Hot water barely worked in the shower and the most annoying (and no it’s not the crappy record player with terrible records that was so scratched up that it was barely playable), it was the random fire alarm blaring in the middle of the night. The only positive thing is that the hotel is in center downtown Brooklyn but the amenities at this hotel was trash and the concierge’s demeanor over compensates for the trash experience of the hotel overall. This hotel reminds me why I hate gentrification in Brooklyn and NYC overall. The hotel has a crappy hipster attitude with a poor eye for customer service. We don’t need an hipster art exhibit, we need a hotel that is comfortable to stay in for the price we pay. For a hotel that is an “ace”, the hotel was just a flop. Do better.

Not worth it.
Don’t bother paying for the skyline room because you will be facing directly into another unit. Fire alarms went off 3 mornings in a row before 8 am so so much for getting any rest.

Definitely will be back
We loved every minute at Ace. The overall aesthetic of the place was beautiful. The room was actually spacious in my opinion. The only downside was that the elevators were being serviced our entire time there so you had to call for an elevator to your floor if you needed to leave. Also, when checking in the front desk girl just took my bf’s card and charged it. She didn’t explain any charges or anything. Just swiped the card which I thought was weird, usually incidentals and everything are explained before the card is processed but whatever. I loved it and I’ll be back.
