Probably won’t do that again.
It appeared the place was not cleaned before we arrived. Bedsheets and towels were dirty, broken glass on the floor in two very different places of the house, 1 of the three queen-sized beds we couldn’t even use due to the frame being cracked and not being stable. Maintenance came out the next morning and said they couldn’t fix it so we had people sleeping on the couch and floor because the bed wasn’t usable, oven was filthy.
The property is beautiful but all of the big divots in the ground rolled many ankles of several family members while we were out front playing yard games.
All in all, we were there to spend time together as a larger family and we were able to successfully do that. We enjoyed our time.

My husband was working in Iowa and this was the only location listed on Expedia...the posting wasn't clear. It stated he would have the entire apartment to himself, but when he got there, it was a very old farm house with several rooms that shared space. The bathroom downstairs was not working. He didn't end up staying because he didn't feel safe...it was dark, old and creepy.

Like staying at Grandma’s
We love staying at the Garst House whenever we’re in town to visit family. We love the interesting history of the place, and all the old furnishing. Everything is old, and yet, spotlessly clean. It’s like staying at Grandma’s house.

Peaceful scenic getaway
We stayed in the quaint Hollyhock cottage at the home farm for three COVID-safe nights, while work was done at our home. Fishing was walking accessible just down the hill. It was serene and peaceful. The accommodations were comfortable.
