Great value!
We had a great stay here. The rooms have updated furtniture and decor and there are some cosmetic flaws but nothing that can't be overlooked. Price was great and this is one of the reasons we chose this place. Beachfront was amazing, all rooms have balconies overlooking the ocean. Direct beach access. Pool was very nice as well with a huge hot tub and pool bar.

Watch out for roaches..and not palmetto bugs.
Location was perfect and the view was beautiful. We were there for Thunder Beach..we are local but wanted to stay close. The room was clean but infested with roaches. I found roaches in the bathroom and crawling around the tv console. The big refrigerator was a nice touch though. The pool are was great. We didn’t eat breakfast there but the area to eat was small.

Great place to stay - if you like roaches
The hotel is in a great location on the beach and the pool, hot tub, and outdoor area are nice. Staff was friendly and helpful enough. They serve free breakfast every morning, but we never ate it - here's why: When we checked in and got to our room it looked clean, even though the furniture and decor had definitely seen better days and could use an update - but that wasn't a deal-breaker. The beds were comfortable enough. The deal-breaker came when we started finding small roaches in the room - multiple. We killed 3-4 in the floor, and one that was crawling down the mirror one morning. My husband also killed one in the hallway downstairs on the main floor. We promptly went and got a spray bottle of Ortho Max pesticide from WM and sprayed the entire perimeter of our room, which did help but we still killed a couple more during the rest of our stay. Because of the roach problem, we didn't feel comfortable eating the breakfast or food from the restaurant. When we got home we took all of our luggage, dirty laundry, etc. outside and shook it out to try and make sure we didn't bring any unwanted visitors home with us. If not for the roaches, it would be a decent place to stay - but we won't be going back.

Great location, needs modernization and cleaning
The location is great! Right by the beach and within walking distance to a couple of decent restaurants. We loved the pools as well! The place is a little run down but that would have been ok if it at least was clean. Upon arrival the floors in our room were so dirty that they left our soles black when we were barefoot. We requested additional cleaning which was done the morning after. Great service! Or so we thought… the floors never seemed to dry after the cleaning so we wiped them with a towel. The towel ended up completely black. Later that day we had to kill two cockroaches in the room which didn’t help the overall feeling of a lack of cleanliness. We liked that breakfast was included (even if the healthy options were very limited) and the tea/lemonade/coffee bar during the day! Upon arrival we had to pay an additional nightly fee ”because we booked through a third party” meaning Hotels.com. This was not advertised in advance and had we known about this it would have been cheaper to book directly with the hotel. So that was quite disappointing.

The entire staff were very kind and helpful. We were impressed with all of the people that worked there. The room was very clean and the view of the gulf water was perfect. If we ever travel to Panama City Beach again, we will stay here.
