Aside from the check-in process, place is pretty good. Two Family Mart stores, large public baths, massage pods, and great view. Need more staff at check-in since the system is not intuitive.

Excellent
Very nice hotel, very convenient location for all sightseeing in Yokohama! Room is very clean. The breakfast buffet offers variety of food, drinks, very tasty. I really enjoyed my two-night stay and the breakfast! Staff are super friendly and tired their best to help guest despite of language barrier. They helped me to made airport bus reservation which back to HND, I greatly appreciated! I definitely will come back! Strongly recommend this hotel!

Great value, good location, room has WiFi and LAN outlet, decent sento (public bath) and basic gym. Onsite Family Mart combini for cheapo food options. Maybe bring your own coffee and teabags. Mini fridge for your beverage needs - buy at the Family Mart.

Onsen was the best. Family mart 24/7 peak. The veranda buffet also on premise, surprised me with the choices of food and the quality. Taste was good.

If you are looking for the large rooms, this hotel is not for you. But if you want minimal, casual rooms, this is the place for you. I really liked this hotel’s concept!

Great location, convenient for Yokohama attractions and for travel to Tokyo and other places like Kamakura and Enoshima. Hotel was extremely busy when I was there with many guests checking in and out at New Year but the staff were unfailingly helpful, prefessional and courteous - they really impressed me. APA rooms are *small* - to me that is the only significant drawback to the chain but you should be aware of it before booking. In all other respects they are a fine hotel.

Ok for a pre cruise trip, but otherwise?
The good is the excellent public onsen which can get a bit crowded-through the TV gives you an indication of how busy. Check in is overly beauracratic and by kiosk which seemed to baffle most. Room was TINY and no where to store bags other than under the bed. Room was overly hot as they changed to heating from cooling. Set to 16 degrees but was at least 25+ degrees. Friendly staff at check in but other than that absent.

While the hotel is nice, it's quite big and crowds are not well managed and you have a lot of delays everywhere. From check in to waiting time in the elevators. The spa is nice but often very crowded. The rooms are quite small but they come with all the necessary amenities.

Hot like suana. They should have option for cold air instead of hot since the aircond is heated. And window is not opened. We were sweating like pigs. My room is like suana. The corridor of my room is much much cooler than room.

The property was nice, clean, modern and relevant. Check-in was automated. Which made the process quick. Nice to have a public bath place in the hotel. With a Family Mart on the same floor. My only note would be, that the room was a bit smaller in size than I am use to having in the U.S. Everything from the bed was about 2 -3 steps away. From the door to the tv, to the bed, to the bathroom. Many pluses about the facility. So I would book again. As it was an affordable time in December. A 7day stay for me.

Improvement suggestions
The lighting around the hotel area isn't that great out on the streets after 11pm... As usual, the spa area can be kept cleaner and not full of hair and stuff around. Could make the spa smell nicer would be great. The pay parking machines weren't working well... Couldn't pay with my credit card. So annoying. Needs to be upgraded or fixed. Allow other methods of payment would be nice. Elevator service needs to improve. Always crowded and busy.
