"Great location for the castle. Glamping for the first time was an experience. Shame about the rain. Meant it was damp in the tent. Water still managed to get in somehow; there were puddles on the floor right inside the tent - not from the front flaps being exposed. We'd had that explained to us about ensuring the flaps were 'out'. Shower & toilet blacks were great. Dining in the evening was over the top - too much food! Must be a lot of waste. Breakfast

"I stayed for one night whilst travelling for a mixture of business and pleasure. It had been a long hot day so it was a pleasure to step into the cool of this lovely old inn. The welcome was warm and friendly and in fact I think the friendliness of the staff is my standout reason to stay. The room was simply furnished but spacious and comfortable and importantly cool with a fan provided. I ate dinner and breakfast

"Recently under new management so has some minor teething challenges. The current interim manager was excellent but only temporary. If the full time one is half as good the hotel should be a success as it is quiet and charming. Note however the rooms are not for those with mobility issues (and frankly room 1 has so many tiny stairs it isn't for anyone!) We had room 5 which was fine (and is probably the one in the photo) We only had snacky things to eat but restaurant looked popular. Slightly off...
