Cumberland Lorne Resort
"Great property, close to the ocean and central Lorne. Enjoyed all the amenities and rooms were good value. Very much planning my return."
Bayside Geelong Hotel & Apartments, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"Lovely room, clean great facilities"
Wyndham Resort Torquay
"Excellent Property and Location"
Rydges Geelong
"We liked the presentation of the property and convenience of location. What wasn’t so good was the food offerings. There was no option for something small at breakfast. You had two choices, a full or a continental breakfast. Also we booked a cab and the receptionist told us to sit down away from the entry and he would tell us when the taxi arrived. After a long wait we asked where the taxi was and he said it had been taken by someone else. He ordered another but it was then a mad rush to catch our train."
Crowne Plaza Geelong by IHG
"The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and spacious, the pool and amenities were very nice. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely like to return!"
Oaks R Suites Geelong
"Super friendly staff"
Eastern Sands City Centre
"Bed were comfortable and heating worked well. Only problem we had was the tv wouldnt connect to the wifi for the kids to watch and movie and the cleaners need to do a more deeper clean and we found stuff under the beds when the kids lost something underneath"
Admiralty Inn
"The bathroom was clean but behind the couch had not been cleaned at all and dusty room. The guest book hadn't been checked. A broken light above the bed. In saying all that I would definitely stay again for the convenience to the city centre."
Mantra Lorne
"Long line to check in. Would recommend not checking in right on 2pm wait a little for shorter lines. Our room didn’t come with a dedicated parking spot so we had to park further away and walk which wasn’t too bad thankfully it wasn’t raining. Room was clean"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Anglesea
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Anglesea is during May, July, and August, when hotel prices are generally lower. For an enriching experience, it's recommended to stay for at least 2 to 3 days, allowing ample time to explore the town's historical landmarks and cultural attractions. Families will find plenty to enjoy, from relaxing beaches and engaging walks along the sea to delightful dining options. The friendly atmosphere and recreational activities make it a budget-friendly destination that offers great value for money. With prices potentially dropping in these months, it’s an ideal time for those looking to explore Anglesea without breaking the bank.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for accommodation in Anglesea, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on nearby hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, so you’re more likely to see opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re updated on availability and price drops for your preferred accommodations.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Anglesea. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised touch and, at times, better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to potentially secure the best deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but with Anglesea's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations can provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
