I was very pleasantly surprised by Doha. There is plenty to see and do in a few days, including the Souk (with a falcon hospital!), Banana Island (delicious Friday brunch), Qanat Quartier, Crystal Walk, Mina District at the Old Port and so much more.

Strongly recommend day tours with a tour guide. Our favourite was North and West Qatar. We used Golden adventures Qatar. We really enjoyed Souq Wakif in the evening and would strongly recommend National Museum.

This was an unplanned trip so we could not avoid traveling during Ramadan. If you don't observe Ramadan you'll have difficulty finding places to eat until 6p and EVERYTHING close from 2-6p daily. So check the timing before you go. It's a beautifucity

A city that combines the past and the present, in continuous development and prosperity, safe, the Qataris are very kind, I enjoyed it, I want to repeat the visit
"This was our second stay at Oryx and we loved the convenience and comfort. The rooms are surprisingly quiet considering they’re inside an airport. I would have loved Netflix access on the TV as I was travelling with a small child who would have loved some TV downtime. Otherwise, excellent!! "
"This is a beautiful hotel, great service and overall experience. The rooms are outstanding even if you have the “basic city view”. The rooftop bar and restaurant was also very good! "
