The rooms/overwater villas are ok, but the restaurant and common areas are absolutely awful, dirty, dated and run down. The few restaurants in the local area are very basic. Bora Bora doesn't have much to offer aside from luxury resorts. It's hard to get around to other resorts for food, as boat transfer is required ($300 for a 10 min trip) and I doubt that the resorts accept reservations from people that aren't guests... "We stayed in an overwater bungalow for our honeymoon and it was astonishing! The polynesian style was very immersive and looked amazing. We felt relaxed the entire trip and the staff was always extremely helpful and friendly. Certainly made our time there that much better. The bar staff are great and always put a smile on your face.
