We (1 x Australian male & 1 x Filipina) stayed for one week in a Family Apartment. We chose Villa Prescilla as we wanted to be able to self-cater and cook our own meals. The hotel is a short drive from both the airport (via taxi) and the centre of Dumaguete (trike). Getting transport via a trike is easy, plus the trikes here are much bigger than in Manila or Angeles and the prices were reasonable: but it does help if you have a Filipina with you to ensure you are not being taken advantage of...

Loved our stay at Eden Resort, we stayed in room 7, they have 10 large well appointed rooms, with large spacious balconies, each with a panoramic view of the ocean, rooms are clean, nicely furnished, with a comfy bed, sitting area, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar. The bathroom had plenty of hot water, however the water pressure wasn't very good and the shelves both in the shower and over the sink were useless as they sloped. The restaurant was comfy with a nice view and food...

We had an amazing time at Bluewater Sumilon! We loved the boutique resort atmosphere with only 31 guestrooms, the tranquility on the island, the turquoise blue water surrounding the island. We thoroughly enjoyed snorkelling at their Marine Sanctuary, the mountain bike riding and just enjoying the beautiful scenery from their infinity pool. The service was very good and staff were very attentive to our needs. The only negative feedback is the day tours... people come to the island and use...
