"Check in at 11 sharp, if you’re do not leave the room by 11am, the curtain close the lights turn offfband the water supply will be less The location is far from the center of amestrdam but there is a subway station near by and convenient store I like very much the design and cleanest of the room I like the breakfast I like the neighbourhood"

"Generally very good hotel. I would rate 4/5. Improvements I would like to see: - Elevator repair. 1 was out of order - TV improvements in bedrooms. There were very limited English channels and no smart connectivity. Couldn't find anything to relax to. - Breakfast quality was average. No hot vegetables or mushrooms, just meat, eggs, beans and hash browns - Limited vegan options. The "fresh juice" machine was truly awful. Terrible orange and apple juice. Tasted very chemical."

"We had a great 2-night stay at the Volkshotel. The staff were always pleasant and very helpful. The ground-floor cafe was nice and very convenient. (Good to know: When we were there, on weekends, the hotel restaurant and cafe only opened for breakfast at 8 a.m. It seems to be an Amsterdam thing as nothing close by was open either.) Because we were heading out on an excursion, we found a place open for coffee closer to our excursion meeting point. I also liked the location of the hotel. It is in an interesting neighbourhood and within easy reach of the metro. When I made our booking I was a little concerned that we would be older than the usual clientele, but I needn’t have worried. The hotel staff make sure all feel welcome. And bonus! We were offered a free upgrade from a cabin to a room with a bathroom. Very nice!"
