Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Munising

Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Munising

8/10 Good
"Clean roomy rooms, we couldn't figure out the AC so had to open window to cool down. Entire property well maintained and very quiet, well lit. Very nice pool/hot tub area. Breakfast was ho hum. NOTE: "1/2 Pint" bar is closed SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS; which I guess is good as it kept the property quiet. NOTE: get something to eat before checking in as property is nowhere near any restaurant, you have to drive back to Munising. NOTE: Avoid the Dog Patch restaurant in Munising as they seem very understaffed and wait/service times are long, with nobody eating nor in line to sit down. (2nd time/year we've had this observation so they've had plenty of time to resolve/fix if they wanted to)"

10/10 Excellent
"The room was very clean and comfortable. I think that our room had been recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. We were up on the second floor, with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the beach. The only downside to the view is that anyone walking outside of the room could peer right in, so we didn't leave the blinds open. It would have been nice to have some type of 'one way' privacy blind, or perhaps a mirror coating on the outside of the window. We hadn't really planned to sit in the room and look outside, but that would have been a plus. The stairs to get from the parking lot up to the second floor had VERY worn carpeting. It gave a very deceiving bad impression of the otherwise nice facility. The check in area was clean and welcoming, and the receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was simple but adequate for grab and go."
