The location was great, the room (newly renovated) was impeccably clean and well appointed and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The property is in the midst of improvements but none of this hampered our stay and (for us) emphasized that the owners are working to improve the experience of their customers. Our room had a wonderful view of Lake Michigan (it looks like many of the rooms do) and it was great to actually be able to walk right across the street and experience the beauty first hand. We would definitely stay here again!

Recently purchased property is getting a necessary facelift. Our room was remodeled, clean and very nice. The outside is scheduled for an update in the near future. Don't let the exterior scare you off. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel/motel has recently been re-opened after extensive remodeling of the rooms. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a refrigerator with plenty of room and a Keurig coffee maker. Maid service was prompt every morning of our three-night stay. We had a wonderful view of Lake Michigan from our room, number 221. Next door is a very nice restaurant with good food; nothing fancy, just every day fare.

This may have been the most beautiful, clean and comfortable room we might have stayed in. I was peeking in other rooms to see if they were the same as ours, and they were. They under-went a huge remodel (per staff) and the 20+ rooms have been completed. The exterior remodeling is next. The towels were all brand new and linens were excellent. Clean and super sweet front desk staff. We would highly recommend. I already mentioned to another couple traveling that direction. Thank you for the great stay.

We had a very nice day. Very happy with The room. Couple things I wish they would consider would be the ceiling lights on a dimmer switch and the windowshade on the huge window overlooking the outside had to be wide open creating little privacy on the first floor. Installing a window sheer should be considered. Large room, comfortable bed and very modern, upscale design

The room was remodeled and in nice condition. Terrible pillows and uncomfortable bed. The outside of the motel was in need of some TLC. We paid for a "lake view" which was an area they cleared across the highway for us to see the lake. They did have a nice "grab and go breakfast" but not really worth the money we paid.

Very clean property, very clean rooms. Freshly remodeled and the price was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful. Plus there's a great restaurant next door to get breakfast, lunch or dinner. And they purchased the property across the street.So they have their own beach right on the lake, As well, plus a sauna on the beach.

Room looked recently renovated and it looked amazing. The shower appeared to be the only thing not replaced and it just needed a bit of caulk. It was very nice. Beach area was nice. It’s very rocky mostly but had a nice area where rocks are removed and it’s nice and sandy. Indoor pool was also quite nice with bathrooms right there also. The hot tub was not working but we didn’t really care. Front desk folks were very nice. Continental breakfast was very good. The restaurant right next door is really good with homemade soups and salad bar. We would definitely stay here again.

Our newly-renovated rooms were great! The breakfast area in the lobby was quite small, but still appreciated. The indoor pool was refreshing and having it open late into the evening was great - it will be better when the hot tub becomes functional. The staff was very helpful and responsive by text messages. Great location and hope the renovations continue to be as good. We managed fine without an elevator, but that may be a concern for some people with 2nd floor rooms.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I think that our room had been recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. We were up on the second floor, with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the beach. The only downside to the view is that anyone walking outside of the room could peer right in, so we didn't leave the blinds open. It would have been nice to have some type of 'one way' privacy blind, or perhaps a mirror coating on the outside of the window. We hadn't really planned to sit in the room and look outside, but that would have been a plus. The stairs to get from the parking lot up to the second floor had VERY worn carpeting. It gave a very deceiving bad impression of the otherwise nice facility. The check in area was clean and welcoming, and the receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was simple but adequate for grab and go.
