Upon arrival and checking in, we were given a room that was still being cleaned. We were told to come back a little later. They told us there would be a continental breakfast in the morning, there were muffins, cereal and fruit. You had to buy milk for the cereal and the hot water from the hot water pot used for hot chocolate and tea tasted like there was bleach in the water, it was nasty. I travel quite a bit for leisure and business, I understand COVID has changed hotels a lot, but they all in some way have a decent breakfast available, these guys dropped the ball.

We had a problem with our room key not working. We try four different keys and none of them worked. The girl at the front desk came back to our with a fifth and it didn’t work. So she ended up giving us a different room. They must of had a problem with keys that day. Because when We returned back from a wedding another man was at the front desk and they gave him a key to a room and he walked in On someone who was already in the room. Same thing happen to our brother in law someone walk in on them. And no one was wearing a name tag.

We checked in a couple hours early because we were to be at a wedding at 4. The girl that helped us must have been new. Nothing went right. She could not get the keys to the rooms right. Our friends had to move room twice. After we got our room someone else was given the same room. They walked in on us When we returned from wedding we could not get back into our room again and had to go down and get new keys again. Then when checking out we got the wrong bill. She never asked for my DL to varifiy my name. The whole experience was totally bad. Clean but we found a dead cockroach on the lobby floor. Will not stay there again. Too bad because we are in that town a lot.

We were on the 4th floor, garbage can outside of elevator running out full, 2 grocery bags of garbage across from elevator. Hallway was dirty with food going down it, including food garbage sitting outside of 2 rooms, dirty towels on the hall floor. When booked I said that there would be 3 adults, yet the bathroom had 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth and 2 conditioners no shampoo. When I called the desk I was told that I could come get what was needed, about 20 minutes later a lady brought it up. The next morning my uncle killed a large bug running across the floor by the bed. We booked there because of the hot breakfast advertised as well, to find cold cereal, muffin and apple and a note to ask the desk for milk or oj. We chose Holiday Inn knowing it's generally a great experience, this was a huge let down.

Ended up spending 2 nights because of power outage . The first night we had exceptional service i wish i new what the lady at the front desks name was . We got there at about 8 pm Aug. 10th . Saw a sign on the desk that the pool was closed . Which should be mentioned before hand i would have chosen another hotel . The front receptionist said we could swim at our own discretion as someone said the pool was cold . I said our pool was on the cool side they wouldn't mind . The kids enjoyed there swim . The next night didn't go as well . Got there our room wasn't clean . Went to swim receptionist said the pool was closed . I said we had swimmed the night before . She argued with me even got her manager who wasn't going to let us swim until i said i wanted a refund. Then nobody could find the light switch in the pool room . So big a difference in my 2 night stay . First exceptional second 2 🌟 . Goes to show good customer service goes a long way .

Hotel was very clean and service was great. Website still advertised free breakfast, but not available due to covid response, so that was a little disappointing, but not unexpected. Would stay there again.

The poor lady working the front desk was the only worker that night. She was doing everything and it wasn’t her fault it took 20 minutes before we could check in, the faulty room doors that are not fixed (they know about them) and the dirty floors.
