Great value hotel in Newcastle
Stayed for 2 nights in a park view room. Quick and friendly check in process. Good size, well appointed, modern room. Great location, couple of mins drive to the center of Newcastle and restaurants on Darby Street. Breakfast included in the rate - good choice of hot and cold food. Nice bar area. Has become our go to hotel in Newcastle.

I had to make an emergency booking at the Holiday Inn Express after another hotel I had booked to stay at had a cocroach infestation. I arrived at 8pm, flustered and stressed. Your receptionist caled KC was superb; so lovely and calmed me down. And it was such a relief to find a lovely clean, well-stocked bathroom. I was only passing through but would definitely stay again!

I didnt like having a flashing red light in my room adjacent to the bathroom visible from my bed. When I removed it from its setting a glaring flashlight came on. I had to cover it with a towel to get to sleep. King St adjacent to the hotel is narrow and when leaving the carpark my vision to oncoming traffic was blocked by a delivery van. The lady on the desk when I booked in seemed unhappy and the decore of the property was bland. I'll really have to think hard about returning.
