"Kalimera was above & beyond my/our expectations. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. Elvis @ the Sand bar was excellent in terms of customer service. The kitchen staff was also excellent & extremely warm & friendly. I wish we could've stayed longer here but definitely will return & will also refer family & friends. "Our cottage had a wonderful beach view and was at the end of the property. It had a screened in porch and a beautiful interior which was clean and spacious. We were only a few feet away from the "Adult Pool" which we swam in every day. The staff were super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond in everything, including our dining and arranging our two excursions. We loved the Sunset Cruise around Placencia Bay and the Monkey River Tour was very interesting. If you do the Monkey River make sure you bring plenty of insect repellent and a hat. The mosquitoes were everywhere! Other than that we had a fabulous stay and will surely be back. It's a real gem in paradise!"

"The room was a disappointment given the price point. The sliding glass door on one-side was shattered, one of the bathroom windows was also broken, the left sliding glass door wouldn’t lock and or close ( eventually fixed) the sofa and comforter cover were both stained. I felt that my complaints were met with frustration by the front desk staff. I actually considered leaving for $473 a night I was frustrated all solutions were a take away, we-booked an ocean view with a king bed, we were offered 2 doubles garden view. The positive was the food and bar manager that listened and at least offered us a free dinner! Most of the team were exceptional "
