Placencia Village
Placencia Village pairs pristine Caribbean beaches with a laid-back vibe that never feels rushed. Stroll "The Pavement," a charming boardwalk lined with colourful wooden houses on stilts where local artisans display handwoven treasures. The beaches offer that postcard-perfect turquoise water, while Garifuna drumming adds cultural flair to your beach days. Beachfront restaurants serve fresh-caught seafood with toes-in-the-sand dining options. Most places around the village are walkable within 15 minutes, with golf carts and bicycles ruling the narrow streets instead of cars. Water taxis connect you to mainland adventures when you're ready to explore beyond this slice of paradise.

Maya Beach
Maya Beach delivers pure Caribbean bliss without the usual tourist chaos. Soft white sand meets turquoise waters where you can snorkel right off wooden piers or sip rum punch at colourful beach bars. Rent a golf cart to explore this laid-back stretch of the Placencia Peninsula, or grab a bicycle to discover hidden swimming spots. Beachfront dining ranges from casual seafood shacks to mid-range resort restaurants serving fresh catch and Belizean specialities. Accommodation include everything from budget guesthouses to upscale resorts with tropical gardens. Most visitors get around on foot, bicycle, or golf cart, with water taxis connecting to nearby villages.

Cocoplum
Cocoplum serves up that perfect slice of Caribbean heaven with swaying palms and turquoise waters that look Photoshopped. Maya Beach offers prime sunbathing real estate while adventurous types can grab a kayak or try their hand at fishing off wooden docks. Even mini-golf enthusiasts can get their fix at quirky Inky's while pelicans provide the perfect spectator sport. Getting around is a breeze with golf carts and bicycles dominating the sandy paths between beachfront resorts. Dining happens mostly at resort restaurants where fresh seafood takes centre stage. For the full experience, spring for a luxury beachfront villa or resort where you'll wake up to those gentle Caribbean waves just steps from your door.

Plantation
Plantation area delivers Caribbean paradise without the usual tourist chaos. Spend your days sinking your toes into Maya Beach's white sand or challenging friends to a round at Inky's Mini Golf. The peninsula's calm waters are perfect for snorkelling, kayaking, or just floating while watching frigate birds circle overhead. At night, unwind in charming wooden cottages with verandas built for sunset cocktails. Local spots serve fresh seafood and Belizean comfort food just steps from the water. Golf carts and bicycles are the transport of choice here, keeping the pace delightfully slow.

Caribbean Way
Caribbean Way runs along Placencia's iconic wooden boardwalk, where beach life unfolds in full tropical glory. The pristine white sand coastline beckons swimmers while palm trees sway over colourful beach bars. Snorkelling, kayaking, and fishing are right at your doorstep, with the spectacular Belize Barrier Reef just a boat ride away. Local eateries serve fresh seafood and Belizean specialities like hudut with rice-and-beans. Accommodation range from backpacker hostels to mid-range beach hotels, most featuring ocean views. Golf carts and bicycles are popular ways to get around, but the flat, walkable boardwalk makes transport mostly unnecessary.

Ray Caye Private Island Resort
"Having been to Belize 🇧🇿 twice now it is a truly beautiful place, but to be honest it’s the people that keep us coming back to Ray Caye Island Resort some of the kindest most thoughtful people you will ever come across."
Villas at Playa de Coco
"Welcoming staff, great facility, great accommodations, beautiful views, we were just there one night but already talking about how to come back with a group for a longer stay."
Julia´s Cabanas
"Property was in good location. T V wasn't working very well. To noisy at night from Bar restaurant nextdoor .."
Azure Del Mar
"Our stay was excellent. Everyone from Maria to Joe were very welcoming and friendly during our stay. Our cabaña was very cozy and clean when we arrived and during our stay. If we return to Placencia, Hotel Azure Del Mar will be our choice."
Umaya Resort & Adventures
"The resort was beautiful and very well kept, both the grounds (including beach and pool area), and the rooms! Maid service everyday with fresh towels, trash disposal, made beds, filling up water jugs, sweep, mop… the works! We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view suite and it was perfect for our family of 4. The full kitchen was a great option for cooking a few dinners when we didn’t want to go out. The restaurant Casa De Maize was delicious, everything we tried was amazing! The staff is SO friendly and accommodating as well! You can tell that everyone who works there takes pride in their job and wants everyone to have a great experience! They can arrange shuttle rides into town, or to the store for a small fee, or there is a free daily shuttle that goes into Placencia as well. The swim up bar is a fun option for drinks, or you can make your own and bring them to the pool ( just bring a yeti cup). The pool is right on the beach and they work hard to keep it in good shape. There was seaweed while we were there, but they do their best to keep it to a minimum on the shore. The lagoon side is really beautiful as well (that is where the restaurant is) my son bought a fishing pole in town and enjoyed fishing off the dock there and the pier on the ocean side. There is also a little fire roasted pizza place by the pool to get food as well. You can charge things to your room which is nice. All in all we had an awesome time at the Umaya resort and would highly recommend staying here!!!!"

"The staff was exceptional and the time of year we went was amazing"
Sirenian Bay Resort - Villas & All Inclusive Bungalows
"I have traveled all over the Caribbean and stayed at many beautiful resorts with exceptional service, but nothing compares to my experience at **Sirenian Bay Resort** in Belize. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the staff was the most professional, courteous, and genuinely caring team I have ever encountered. They didn't just provide great service—they made us feel like family. Every interaction was warm, welcoming, and sincere. One staff member who truly stood out was **George**. His attention to detail, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond made our stay unforgettable. He was always attentive, accommodating, and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask. George is a tremendous asset to the resort. The resort itself was absolutely immaculate. Every area was spotless, beautifully maintained, and designed to create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The vibe was exactly what we were looking for—quiet, welcoming, and the perfect place to unwind. And let's not forget the food! Every meal was delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The drinks were equally impressive, expertly crafted, refreshing, and the perfect complement to each day in paradise. If you're looking for a resort that combines luxury, incredible hospitality, outstanding food, and a relaxing atmosphere, look no further than Sirenian Bay Resort. Thank you to George and the entire staff for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!"
Brisa Oceano Resort
"Fabulous! Highly recommend it!"
Prana Maya Island Resort
"Great stay! Breakfast and lunch were awesome, dinner non meat options at the resort could’ve been improved in my opinion, but overall we enjoyed the food 7-8/10. The spa quality was outstanding despite our therapist not being accustomed to homosexual couples experiences, their hand strength and overall professionalism made up for the awkward conversation beforehand. Loved the gym! Amenities and staff were also great. We would stay again."
