Byron Bay and related destinations
At Australia's easternmost point, Cape Byron Lighthouse rewards hikers with panoramic ocean views where migrating whales breach in season. The Pass delivers world-class waves for experienced surfers, while beginners find patient instructors happy to share their passion for the perfect ride. Main Beach buzzes with barefoot energy, but locals slip away to Wategos Beach when crowds swell. Between surf sessions, explore Arakwal National Park's coastal trails or spot dolphins playing offshore. The town itself balances laid-back surf culture with an enthusiastic wellness scene that has attracted celebrities without sacrificing its bohemian soul. After sunset, musicians transform beach bars into impromptu concert venues where shoes remain strictly optional.

Waves Byron Bay
"Booked on way up to an event, happy enough to stay again on way home. Staff friendly free parking and coffee machine in reception at 7am."
Bayview Beachfront Apartments, in town right on the beach
"Fabulous stay. Unbeatable location along the beach front and 100m walk to the main strip of restaurants and shops. Lovely staff and clean unit."
Byron Beachcomber
"Beautiful place to stay. Walking distance to everything so didn't need to drive any where. Will be staying again."
Ingenia Holidays Byron Bay
"Great place to stay. Only shame was the wifi which did not work in our eco pod. It was fine close to reception but away from there it dropped out."
Elements of Byron
"Wow! Such an amazing and tranquil stay for just the one night. The staff are professional and informative, the resort feels quiet and safe and I absolutely love how many available facilities there was. I would have loved to see the beach club bar open even in winter as the sunset was stunning and our shower and toilet rooms had visible black mould on the ceilings which was a bit concerning. The bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan which I think would go a long way. Other than this, I would definitely come back for a long stay."
Eco Beach Resort
"I was happy with the 6 night's stay; the only small issue they have no facility for storing luggage after checking out at 10am and your flight is not still late afternoon or evening. They advised a resort a few minutes up the street will store your luggage for a small fee of $4, otherwise a pleasant stay."
Hibiscus Motel
"Nice set up for what we were doing on vacation, spending most our time on the beach or shopping in town which this hotel was right there in the center. This hotel is just pretty old but kinda knew going in. "
The Lord Byron
"I loved the bike rentals, bbq, decor and vibe of the property. Beautiful areas by the pool and outdoor lounge and bbq areas! Staff were helpful and incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!"

- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you to save on your stay at a hotel in Byron Bay. For those in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and could potentially offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average.
