We had an awesome stay. The room was small, quiet and clean. JR is an excellent source of local info. Would stay there again.

Clean but room was over crowded with furniture. Check In does not sync with Hotels.com. I don't care to give out my Cell Number especially when there is a working email.

I had a fantastic stay at this Inn! The property may be small, but it offers all the basic amenities, and everything works perfectly. The true standout is the host, JR, who is an absolute gem. His dedication and hard work are what make this place run so smoothly. JR's warmth and helpfulness were evident from the moment we arrived, as he waited late to check us in and greeted us with a great smile. His commitment to providing excellent service is reflected in the positive reviews this place receives. Highly recommend staying here if you looking for quick stopover while visiting Allegheny national forest.

2/10 Poor

Only good thing here is the price.
Where do I start? First, the place has no office. You have to call ahead and let the guy know when you are arriving. That's not always possible when you're in sales. Then he comes out and takes you in the room, closes the door, and proceeds to explain how to work the tv and turn on lights and AC. Being a woman travelling alone, I did not appreciate that at all! I've been turning on tvs, lights, and ACs for many years. The room was super tiny. The nearest restaurant was 21 miles away. Lastly, I could not get cell phone reception there. I need my phone for business calls. I called the manager to tell him I would have to check out a day early because of that and he said rudely, "Well you got through to me, didn't you?" Then we got cut off. I had to call him 4 times to get the message across due to poor phone connections. I didn't expect a refund on the second night, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. I can't possibly understand how this place got such good reviews! My parents ran a mom and pop motel back in the 60's, so I always try to give their little places my business when possible. But no office?? What about ice, vending, receipts? My Dad would always greet customers in the office even if it was 2am! This is a poor excuse for a motel and totally unacceptable.

Great little place to stay!
Great communication when booking room, a week prior and a day prior. JR was able to answer questions and give suggestions on places to see and eat. He is a wealth of information and if you have some time he has a trove of stories!

JR is a great host - very attentive and helpful. We arrived on motorcycles during a thunderstorm and he helped get us checked in , settled, fed and even provided towels for the bikes. He was very helpful with the local attractions and history. We found the place accidentally, but we'll be back. Perfect for motorcycle is

Very dated I understand that, but the room smelled and did not present a clean room. Also I believe ac leaked into room the carpet was wet under the ac unit and I did not spill anything. So I think the smell was from that

Not what I thought
I set up our reservation because of the great reviews. I don't like to give uncomfortable reviews but I feel I need to let others know and let them decide. If I had known the room smelled of years of smoking - I never would have made plans for this place. That alone, is a deal breaker for me as it makes me sick. Personally, I found the bed to be uncomfortable. I have a bad back and hip and I only got 2 hours sleep because they hurt so bad lying in the bed. The quarters very cramped - which you really can't tell by looking at the picture. I like small spaces and would love to live in a tiny home - but this was a bit much. Chair was jammed up right against the bed and the nightstand making it difficult to move around. Sheets were clean, as were the towels - but I did notice that the shelves in the bathroom were dusty and I left my fingerprint marking on it. It would not pass a white glove test. Most women, I think, would not want to stay here. The owner was nice enough - as all have said. He offered brochures to look through. The brochures have been used by many, you could tell, as they had stains on them from use and spillage. I don't need fancy. However, I don't need stale smoke in my lungs nor do I wish to leaf through brochures that are dirty (unless it's my own dirt). I think most guys wouldn't care about the above complaints but I thought it only fair to give a woman's side of the story to help when others are looking to stay somewhere.

I loved the price for the accommodations. The best part is that the owner himself took very good care of me and all my needs! He was my personal concierge and spared nothing to make sure that not only was I taken care of, but that the other guests were taken care of as well. He even drove me into town in his personal car since all I was was my work truck and a 40’ Gooseneck trailer. He was extremely personable and helpful. I am going to plan a trip back here later in order to bring my wife and may even make stopping at his business a yearly thing. That is how much of an impression JR (the owner) left on me! I highly recommend this place!!!

RJ the owner is absolutely wonderful. He's a wonderful host and business man. I felt like part of the family falling to him. The place is small but it was perfect. It's very intimate, comfortable bed, smart TV, quiet area, access to a lot of State Parks. 10/10 recommend and will stay again

It was a nice motel for overnight rest. The property out back in the parking lot has some muddy areas that need to be repaired. It is not a large property but, cozy.
