A bit disappointed and quite surprised…
The hotel itself has an excellent just near the St-Mark square, however the entrance of the hotel is hidden on a back street, instead of like the photos of their website, which is right facing the square. We took the rooftop suit with a private terrace, the view was amazing, however the drain of the jacuzzi in the bathroom was quite dirty with a lot of hair and used tissues. But what mostly surprised us was after we checked in and laid in the bed, the hotel staffs opened the door with their key without even knocking the door in advance. We were shocked at that, and they apologized and said it’s because the previous guests forgot their passports in the safer, so they just opened the safer in front of us and took the passports. I mean they could have made a phone call to the room in advance or at least knocked the door before they opened it. We found this was really unprofessional, and it’s very the first time the thing happened during our many years travelling experience.

This stay exceeded our expectations. Our flights were delayed and we were expecting to get in past their check in times. The hotel was easy to communicate with to make arrangements. This HOTEL IS A GEM great hotel, great room, great service, great cafe/bakery in the first floor, great parking, the only problem I found is the limited amount of choices for restaurants in town. We used the hotel as a base to visit the Dolomites and it was an EXCELLENT HOTEL WE LOVED IT, BOOK IT WITHOUT DOUBTS AND HAVE DINNER IN ANOTHER TOWN.

Average hotel with some major turn offs
Clean hotel, cute breakfast area, nice front desk staff but that’s about all it had going for it. Beds were super hard and we had a hard time sleeping well, it is positioned next to a school so weekday mornings it gets super loud with kids screaming around 7am, seemed like cleaning the hotel started around 5:30 one morning which was super disruptive! The biggest turn off was the breakfast staff. The lady seemed almost offended that we asked for two black teas instead of one and ice for our water bottles. If I had to do it again I’d pick another hotel closer to cortina di ampizzo and spend a bit more for better beds and service/ability to sleep past 5:30am! Also parking was first come first serve and the spots were teeny.

Beautiful, clean property, comfortable room. Great breakfast buffet. Good location just outside of the busy Cortina d'Ampezzo. I would only recommend asking for a room on a higher floor or away from the stairs as it can be a bit loud in the morning from noise coming from the cafe. Wish I had more time to take advantage of the afternoon snack and happy hour. Overall, excellent property!
