Bad bad and bad
Bad bad bad! Rough area cheap hotel. You will not see any French there! Mould in shower. I had to shower with my flip flops on. Shower then got blocked nobody assisted. It was hot and we had to sleep with open windows. The area is so rough that you can hear all the noise till very late even on a Tuesday! The area has it all: Prostitutes, drugs dealers, gangs, immigrants sleeping rough and God knows what else! As a plus the staff is extremely rude and do not speak English (or pretend they dont speak to get away with murder) specially the two elderly men at the reception!.. they think they are giving you a favour! also the night staff unpolite and will tell you anything to get rid of you. Disgusting service! So bad that they probably don't care about this review! Keep away from this cheap trap. Hey! I am warning youuuuuu!

Avoid This Hotel
The neighborhood is rough, noisy, and full of drunks at night; due to the thinness of the room's walls, you will be able to hear conversations held at normal speaking volume at street level. Our bathroom had a large water pipe running through it that made a considerable amount of noise whenever someone above us (and/or possibly below) used a sink or flushed the toilet. No safe was provided for valuables and we did not feel entirely comfortable entrusting the safety of our room's contents to the owner of the hotel, whose demeanor was ambivalent at best and unfriendly at worst. And the wifi was beyond awful. In summary, the hotel was so terrible that we decided that we needed to leave before the end of the first night. Whatever you plan to do in Paris, try to avoid the Barbes-Rochechouart area near Gard du Nord and do NOT go to this hotel under any circumstance.

Stay away from this place ! Worst 'hotel' ever !
This 'hotel' is falling apart. It is a really old building in need of lots of repairs. Tiny old towels, dirty sheets, peeled walls, no air conditioner, the staff doesn't know anything about good customer service. Wooden floor it's too old, so you can hear every step. The room had insects, pillows were a joke. Surrounded by scary streets (gangs everywhere). I DO NOT recommend this place, I wouldn't stay there again, not even for free!

Good
The Hotel was good but there were basic facilities missing that we would expect in a hotel. Like no hair dryer, no ironing facility. Fortunately we had taken our hair dryer so it was fine. But we really struggled with ironing our clothes. In the UK we are used having kettle and tea/coffee making facility in the room. They do not have this nor do they allow any food in the room. But they were helpful as in I need hot water to take my medication which they filled for me in my flask.

Bed bugs - don't stay here!
I don't usually book 50 euro hotels but I had one night in Paris and it didn't really matter where I slept. The staff were helpful, I loved the area, and the room was what I expected for 50 euro. It did the trick. Until I woke up in the morning covered in bed bugs. I have rows of bites on my back and arms. The rows being the tell tale signs. I was disappointed as normally hotels.com standards are higher than this.
