The cottages are in a lovely spot right next to the river, with a communal grassy area and picnic benches. It is quiet despite being on the main road, and the fact that all cottages were booked the weekend we stayed did not make it feel busy.
The cottage was a good size, with basic kitchen facilities, a sitting area and, of course, a bed. The furnishings were all quite pleasant despite the age of the building, and although the bathroom was a bit dated, it was perfectly functional.
The free bottle of wine and chocolates on arrive were a nice surprise. Overall, this place seemed very good value compared to other options in the area on a public holiday weekend. I wasn't disappointed. The only downside is that Bright is a short drive away for an evening meal at one of its excellent restaurants.
