San Blas charms visitors with its steep cobblestone streets and artisan workshops spilling onto pavements. Getting around requires sturdy shoes—most visitors walk uphill from Plaza de Armas in about 15 minutes. The steep terrain creates dramatic views over red-tiled roofs towards distant Andean peaks.

Our hostel was located only a few blocks away from Cusco's Plaza de Armas but it was all up hill. It was worth it though for the incredible views the hostel offered of the city! On this morning we were up early for a day tour and enjoyed our breakfast on the small outdoor patio overlooking the city. #UrbanJungle
