The hotel is trying for a funky vibe - sometimes though you just want the basics - like a glass in your room so you can get a drink of water!

Close to Everything!
The location of this place is perfect! Easy walk to all the major attractions (Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Navy Pier etc.) and around the corner from a subway station. The space was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was a good bonus.

Bit smaller than expected
Room was a bit small, definitely didn't look like the photos of the room, felt more like a cruise ship cabin.

Great find for the price!
We unwittingly managed to schedule the Chicago leg of our America trip over the Columbus day weekend which was also the weekend of the Chicago marathon. When we went to book accomodation only 1.5 months before leaving on our trip, we found Chicago accomodation to be largely booked out & quite expensive. I booked this hotel because of its location but it really excelled our expectations. It is around the corner from Grand on the Red Line which meant we could catch the incredibly cheap & convenient metro all the way from the airport with only one change& we could easily get into the city when we wished for walk, which we did). It is beautifully decorated, clean, the staff were lovely & eager to assist. It has a cafe & a bar downstairs. We booked a private queen room which was very small but with just enough room to set down our two small suitcases & still be able to move around the bed comfortably. There were mini bar snacks & the only things that would have made it more convenient would have been a bottle opener for our wine & a mini fridge for cold water/beer. The bathroom was good with a really decent shower. The room had great air-con & a window that opened. They also have dorm style rooms but while there was a little bit of noise from people in the hall on their way in & out it was really non existent & you could not hear them once they went in except when in the bathroom which shared a vent which was a welcome surprise. I would defintely stay here again.
