Apts nearby that looked run down. Great location, the beach is around the corner and across the street. I didnt know they were going to need 1000 bhat deposit in cash. No microwave in room. Had to request them to fix the AC twice. It needed a new part. Suffered the first night because it was super late. Staff is very nice. It does get super loud. Oh and my outlet didnt work but when they fixed the AC it worked again. The living room has google tv and youtube but the bedroom doesn't which is a bummer.

Fantastic!

I've stayed here a few times before, but this was the best yet. This time I stayed in a corner suite (with sea view) and I was delighted with it. A great view out to sea over the rooftops and two big rooms to relax in. Staff as friendly as ever and many good dips in the swimming pool. Terrific!

Love the view & very friendly and helpful staff

A great time! This is the second time I've stayed here and I chose it both because it has a balcony with an excellent view to the sea but also because it's in a great location for easy access to the beach and many bars/restuarants. As with my first holiday, the service was good with the staff friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and a small issue with the key safe and door lock on arrival was very promptly sorted for me. The only thing that's not great is the shower (poor pressure). It worked well enough though and I was really happy overall. Thank you for a terrific stay!

It’s supposedly a 4 star hotel, but it’s far from that. It def shows wear and tear and lack of maintenance. Even for the price, I expected a little bit nicer quality. The location is great and walkable to just about everything. There’s outside noise throughout the night, but that’s because you’re next to Soi 6 and should be expected. Good value for the price. Room was clean. Close to beach. Breakfast was ok but food is not kept hot. Defective room safe not a big deal. Bathroom sink sprayed water when at higher setting. For some unknown reason various room lights would automatically turn on during the night or early morning. I would stay here again if I was wanting to save a bit of money. Overall a decent budget hotel with a nice king size bed and balcony and near the beach.

I stayed at Hotel Selection Pattaya. The most notable point is the location—being so close to Runway Street Food and Soi 6 is definitely a big plus. That said, in my case, despite booking a suite room, I unfortunately encountered an issue where none of the room lights could be turned off. While I appreciate the quick response after I called, I had concerns about the way the situation was handled afterward. The maintenance staff entered the room with a stepladder, opened the inspection panel, and started repair work around midnight. At that point, I would have expected to be offered another room immediately, but instead I had to suggest it myself before being moved to a different room. As a Japanese guest, the language barrier and communication made the situation even more concerning. I understand that equipment problems can happen, but I believe the guest service and hospitality could have been handled better. Although I only stayed one night in a city-view suite, I was disappointed that there was no word of apology or sign of sincerity even at check-out. I sincerely hope to see improvements in guest relations going forward.

We paid above average for this hotel because it was classed as a 4 star. This is a low 3 star hotel which in no way lives up to its pictures. On the fourth floor the carpet was very dirty and the fittings of the hallway were damaged and marked everywhere. It felt like entering a badly kept teenage dorm at the end of a semester. The room itself was very old school - nasty dark furniture and in need of a refit. A dead cockroach was easily visible which looked like it had been there for a while. Although we could see the sea from the window the view also included some very ugly, scarred buildings. It didn’t feel completely safe at night. The bath was filthy. Balcony furniture terrible. The main door didn’t close properly on its own. However, when you get your bearings, the location isn’t too bad. You’re very near the beach and you can walk to most places. The staff were ok. My main gripe is that this is more of a high 2 star/low 3 star and we paid way over the odds for this. The whole place either needs to accept what it is and price accordingly or have a complete refit.

I initially selected this hotel due to the pictures of the room and proximity to many places. HOWEVER, upon arrival, I was very disappointed. I had booked for 10 days...I ended up leaving after 1 night and they would not refund me any portion at all. The hotel needs serious renovation. Everything is outdated. The bathroom had dirty grouts, torn wood sections, minimal towels, small television. In the future, I will be sure to book elsewhere!

Just inbetween Beach road and Second road so very convenient and easy access to other parts of Pattaya. The hotel building itseld is very old and the room is also very old and not well maintained but cheap. I may pick rather newer hotels at second road side next time.
