Morgans Hotel
"Lovely hotel. Have been to multiple times on business"
King Arthur Hotel
"I was in the building adjacent to the pub and my room faced the fields - what a view! I had a double room and it was very clean and spacious, although a small bit of feedback, I think the carpets could do with a clean soon but everything else was great. The receptionist checking me in was so friendly. The breakfast was so tasty, the bacon and sausage were thick and chunky, really good quality. The staff at breakfast were attentive and friendly and I loved how everything was locally sourced including the tea. It is in a very rural area, so it might not suit everyone, although for me it was perfect. It’s very well located and it’s about a 20 min drive to Rhossili Bay and the same amount of time to Port Eynon. I would definitely recommend staying there and I hope to visit again soon."
Mercure Swansea Hotel
"This is was my third stay here and the location"
The Dragon Hotel
"Hotel needs updating, looking very tired. Was on the 7th floor only 1 lift working. Gym and pool not available. Location is good for Central Swansea"
Norton House Hotel
"Had a great visit to the mumbles and Norton house made it even more special. Room was clean and we loved the navy and white decorating. . The metal sea/boat picture was a great addition. The food offering on Monday night was good . Starter and mains were really good . Tuesday breakfast was good and it was great to have poached egg cooked to order . Thank you Norton house for a good time - we would definitely stay again"
The Sleeping Giant - Pen Y Cae Inn
"A great place to stay. Our room was the large king size which had a feel of luxury. We alsohad a very large walk in shower. The whole decor was totally my taste. The dinner at the inn where you check in was just delicious. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Great location for exploring Penyfan and the waterfall. They also had parrots and a micro zoo. I would definitely recommend this accommodation."
Delta Hotels by Marriott Swansea
"The Delta Hotels by Marriott proved to be an excellent last-minute choice for our stay on 25-26 September 2026. The hotel's location is a real highlight. It's within easy walking distance of the city centre, Swansea Marina & the seafront, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. It was also particularly convenient for Swansea Bay parkrun, which was one of the reasons for our visit. We were impressed by how quiet the hotel was. Despite its central location, the sound insulation was excellent a & we enjoyed two peaceful nights' sleep. The staff were consistently welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay, creating a positive first impression from check-in onwards. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable, offering plenty of room to relax after a day out. While the hotel is well maintained, it is starting to show its age in a few areas. The air conditioning worked well enough but was noticeably louder than in more modern hotels. The main drawback was the bathroom design. The shower is fitted over a particularly high bath, making entry and exit difficult. A refurbishment programme that replaces these baths with modern walk-in showers would make the hotel much safer and more accessible for guests. Overall a great stay."
The Grand Hotel Swansea
"Really great experience for us the second time round for staying there. Had the deluxe room and it even came with the hot tub as a nice surprise for us both. Fab stay will return again before Christmas 2026 👍"
The Gower Hotel
"The hotel is on turnoff right on a junction and down a steep narrow lane. Car parking is at the back of the hotel but it has quite a narrow entrance and is up a steep driveway. We managed to get our Mondeo in and up the drive, but it was a careful manoeuvre, We had one of the boutique bedrooms with a king-size. The room was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and very roomy, with a separate large bathroom with walk in shower and deep bath. Tea/coffee making facilities were included and the wi-fi had a strong signal and good speed. The Hotel has a snug bar and a large restaurant where breakfast was also served. The cooked breakfast offered was very generous and well cooked, and cereals, pastries and fruit were also available. We also had an evening meal which was excellent. The staff were all friendly and polite, and extremely helpful with their advice on places to visit and good places to eat (the restaurant was closed on the Monday when we arrived) The location is lovely and peaceful, within in easy driving to The Mumbles, Langlands and a 30 minute drive drive to beautiful Rhossili."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Swansea
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Swansea is during January, November, and December, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the town's key landmarks and cultural attractions, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This budget-friendly duration allows visitors to enjoy the marina, the welcoming atmosphere of the small town, the historic castle, and a variety of museums. Additionally, guests can experience local bars, vibrant festivals, and the artistic offerings linked to the university, all while appreciating the great value for money that Swansea provides.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To explore last-minute deals to Swansea, begin by checking the Deals or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive promotions, helping you find the best hotel deal. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a useful comparison tool available via the app that allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities. This way, if rooms become available or prices drop, you could be among the first to know and seize the opportunity for a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a Swansea hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we'll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you to potentially secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Swansea's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
