We loved this charming bed & breakfast! The house is gorgeous, full of victorian character and splendor. It is set on a hill above Christchurch so you have amazing views of the whole city.
After checking in late due to a long day of driving and going on a penguin tour in Banks Peninsula, both the hosts Angie and Barry were extremely gracious in letting us check out a little later so we could get a little bit more rest.
The room itself was gorgeous - we had the garden room with a splendid view of the flowers and the city below - with a very spacious bathroom. The room had some complimentary snacks and furnished with anything you might need (hair dryer, toiletries, etc.) A fridge in the hallway had some complimentary drinks as well which was very thoughtful. The bed was comfy with many warm layers to snuggle under.
Breakfast was an delicious spread of cereals, pastries, toasts, fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, and lox. We had an amazing time sitting and chatting with Angie and Barry around the breakfast table - made it feel a lot like home! Thank you two for your hospitality, our only regret was that we didn't get to stay longer!
