We had a fantastic stay at the Golden Temple Residence in Siem Reap. It's brand new, rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly with lots of little perks. They also had a cold towel waiting for us when we got back. The pool is small but good. The stay was excellent value for money -- it included free breakfast buffet, a free massage, and a free lunch/dinner. After spending hours walking around Angkor Wat in the heat, the swimming pool was exactly what I needed. The water was clean, the surroundings were peaceful, and it never felt overcrowded. I found myself returning every afternoon just to relax for a while before dinner.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Siem Reap
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Siem Reap is during May, June, and September, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a thorough exploration of the region’s historical and cultural landmarks, it is advisable to stay for at least 3 to 4 days. This duration allows you to visit significant attractions such as ancient temples, monuments, and ruins, as well as partake in insightful tours and excursions. With its budget-friendly options, Siem Reap presents great value for money, making it an enticing destination for those travelling on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover potential last-minute deals for your stay in Siem Reap, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted rates on nearby hotels as your travel date approaches. Enabling email alerts or push notifications can keep you informed about flash sales and special offers, allowing you to seize opportunities for savings. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available in the app enables you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're more likely to see the best hotel deals and take advantage of any price drops or newly available rooms.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could lead to potential savings on your stay in a Siem Reap hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you make a reservation with Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more budget-friendly, helping you to secure the best possible deal.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Siem Reap's excellent public transport links, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
