Not Wroth The Time!
I stayed here while attending an event in New York because I was told the cost would be much cheaper than elsewhere. However, I quickly found out that wasn’t the case, and it ultimately wasn’t worth the time or effort. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I encountered problems.
Upon check-in, I’d been in my room for just a few hours when the owner knocked on my door. I extended my hand for a handshake, but he ignored it. I could see he was visibly upset, apparently due to a negative review someone had left about his property. Instead of approaching me calmly with questions, he was angry and ready to ask me to leave without verifying if I was the one who had written the review. I’d barely been there long enough to leave any review.
The building’s stairway was very dirty, though the room itself was relatively clean. However, amenities were lacking—there were only two dry towels provided, with no washcloths, and the bed, while decent, could have used a better cover. The temperature in the house was also uncomfortably cold, though the owner eventually provided me with a small space heater.
The living room was unfurnished, so if you’re considering this place for a group stay, it’s really not ideal. It’s fine if you’re traveling alone and don’t mind sparse amenities or care much about appearance, but otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it. In the end, it just wasn’t worth the hassle.
