Check in was quick but the attendant wasn’t friendly. We were looking for ice and all he had to say was - no ice.
My room didn’t have a shower head, lacked a set of robes and slipper which I had made the staff aware.

Great staff, but rooms & hallway need help
I thought the staff was excellent!! Very friendly & helpful. The bathtub is dangerous to stand in and take a shower. It’s very slippery, and getting out without anything other than a glass door that is bit sucre and moves is not good. My bed was made, but noticed someone else’s hair was still on the sheets with some dead insects. Last but not least, the chemical odor in the hallway is horrible. Not sure how they can’t smell that and not get sick from it.

OK but off in distance
A little far away from Mantua center, but still accessible by public transport. I assume this would be perfect for those who drive. Breakfast is good enough by Italy's hotel standards.
There's a supermarket nearby.

Though refurbished in the recent past this is quite institutional feeling (cement floors and walls, gray paint). Furnishings a bit worn. Room seemed clean but, though laundered, a pillowcase had chewing gum stuck to it so attention to detail is poor. Noisy main road location. Small TV though room is large and comfrotable.

Average hotel for one night. Well located between Verona and Modena. The only reason for us to stay was a distance to Maranello, otherwise we would not choose this hotel.

Should be 3 Star
Good hotel, but lots of services that were advertised were not due to Covid. Though you are not informed of this before booking. Turns the 4 Star hotel into a 2-3 star

Basic, but improving their image. Clearly they are in the middle of renovating the property. Bed was basic, but new and fairly comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean. There aren’t many frills with this hotel, but it is in close proximity to Mantua and has free parking. It met my needs.

Breakfast was below normal.
The have change one of the room from twin bed to Single bed and rold us that this is what is booked. and they have done a great favor that they have upgraded one room from single to double and the second room will remain single Bed. I showed them my booking they have shown me theirs. I see the room from EXpedia was booked single room and there was special instruction asking for twin room.
After some discussion they agreed to change the room from single to double next day
Thanks

The room is quite big. Bed is very big and comfortable. But the furniture is very old and the room looks like very old. The breakfast is very very standard. But it is just 3 euro.
The biggest problem is the location. There is almost nothing around except a pizzeria just on the corner(1 minute walking). I had dinners several times in that pizzeria. All of them were nice. I had once a dinner in the hotel which was also ok.
Price / quality wise is good but if you don't have car, it is a big problem.

Comfortable stay and pleasant room experience. The staff here were very helpful and very pleasant. They helped me figure my way into the historic centre of Mantova and helped me call a taxi on my last day to get to the station.

Nice hotel in a good location.
This BW is slightly older than most US hotels, and hasn't had the BW upgrade, but overall a nice hotel in an easy to get to location. Hotel also has a restaurant next door, which serves local classics. Breakfast is good, staff is very friendly and helpful. (Single) Room is small with little room to move, but the bed is surprisingly comfortable.
Internet is fast and reliable. Definitely stay here again.

Pleasant hotel a little way out of town
Nice hotel, a little out of town as I planned to visit the Palazzo Te and got the impression when I booked it that it would be within walking distance, which it is not - walkable perhaps, but a long one and some of it is along roads with no pavement so walkable not unless you are that way inclined. However taxis easy and it was quiet and the restaurant was good, there is a nice bar at the roundabout just up the road and next to it a very nice Pizzaria Ristorante which was full of Italian customers so no complaints there. I would stay there again but probably only if I had a car.

Solid
It's a standard European Best Western. A good deal for the price; English-speaking staff, clean, and in a good location. It isn't cushy, but if you vacation outside of your hotel room, it's perfect.

Good for visiting Mantova
We had a nice stay, a clean, comfortable hotel, very close to our friend's house. A nice breakfast and very friendly staff. It met all our expectations.
