The hotel is amazing, its slightly dated however it has excellent facilities, fantastic enormous range at buffet breakfast. 4 pools, sauna steam, jacuzzi ocean views. Resturants, bars, pub. Rooms are really spacious and very comfy beds. Its the kind of place you could just stay at if you dont want to venture out.
I found myself needing to find self contained accommodation close to the Funchal hospital very urgently and came across this gem.
The unit was larger than a hotel room with a kitchenette. I had a balcony overlooking the small pool area.
Not only was the Vila close to the hospital it was also close to the Casino area, restaurants, bakery and small supermarket.

The hotel location was perfect. Customer service could be improved, asked for clean towel from reception on day 3 and they needed to confirm original towel were still in the room, disappointing. Would of expected YES not a problem.
